I just had a wonderful dinner tonight at Carl’s at Mahoney State Park! I had the Steak Bites. They were excellent. They are a regular menu item at Carl’s. I will be back soon! Beautiful view as well. Thank you Carl’s. I have a new favorite spot.
The food was really good. The concert was outstanding March 15 Rascal Martinez. Will be back the service was great.

During a Christmas stay at Mahoney Cabins, a family of 17 celebrated at Carl’s. The lodge was stunning and the atmosphere very clean. Guests fit comfortably and relaxed, talking and even playing checkers. A small glitch occurred, but customer service was a top priority and resolved it quickly. The family recommends returning.
The buffet is fantastic, offering something for everybody. Lasagna was some of the best lasagna ever tasted. The buffet includes soda, coffee and iced tea, and great views looking out at the forest where hawks and hummingbirds can be seen.
Reservations are accepted; on a quiet Friday evening a table was easily secured. The food and service were outstanding. Butterfly shrimp and a small salad bar with nice options were highlighted, though a vinegar and oil salad dressing was missing. The restaurant is open again in this amazing park, providing delicious casual family dining in a wonderful atmosphere.
The cabin atmosphere is comfortable, with welcoming staff and a nice cold beer after a long day at the park. The place is quiet in the evenings, rustic, and over looks the river. Staff are friendly, food fantastic. The salad bar, tenderly cooked steak bites and loaded tots/tachos/nachos are incredible. The venue is kid friendly and has a lounge bar area for a couple drinks. Watch receipts carefully to avoid an automatically added 21% gratuity on each drink ticket and meal ticket, which should not apply to parties of 16.
