“Was definitely pleasantly surprised to find such a great bakery in a small town. I have family in Ashland so decided to stop in and grab some baked goods for the family. We had the Cinnamon Rolls and Breakfast Croissants. The pastries were amazing.. I would recommend arriving early as they do run out of some of the favorites rather early and the place is usually packed.Parking: The parking lot is one of the biggest I have seen in Ashland and easily accommodated a full house which this bakery usually has.”

“Had read a lot of reviews about this place, and being as we were at the Wildlife Safari, we decided to try it. We were seated right away and our server, Stacy, was helpful in describing items on the menu. Our granddaughters had the chicken strip meal and loved it. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich, which was delicious. My wife had the chicken fried steak meal and enjoyed it. She also tried the fried testicle and said it wasn't bad. We all enjoyed the visit.”

The hostess is the sweetest girl ever supper kind and accommodating I was able to speak the Sandi and Rhonda (the managers) and they are just the sweetest people ever! “We stopped in The Beanery on our way to Lincoln on a day trip. The cafe is adorable on the and the service is efficient. The coffee was a little bit on the sweet side for my liking but that's not any reason not to go back and enjoy a nice moment at this wonderful cafe. If you are looking for a great coffee break between Omaha and Lincoln, give The Beanery a try!”

“Enjoyed the view lakeside. Inside or outside under the canopy, also a lower level outside seating space. Shoreline beach for sand action - kids loved this area. Staff was very friendly. “Perfect little hole in the wall small town neighborhood bar with pub grub. It's like you live in a tiny town hours from any city and you're out for your early evening walk and everyone in town knows everyone. You stop to say hi to someone and they invite you to stay a bit and grab you a beer and a plate for what they had for dinner and you just chill and chat. Some of these places can have an obnoxious atmosphere but the music was low, everyone relaxed. Arrive fast and friendly! Taco Tuesday got us a filling $7 taco salad. We're all happy! So glad places like this still exist!”

“Overall good experiences, Travis always makes me smile with his super enthusiastic attitude. Only issue I've had is one time when dining in with family, one of the employees (some kid I did not know) threw straws at me and didn't say anything, it was weird and rude.Otherwise I will say there have been occasions where I've felt bad for the employees. I've witnessed people cuss/yell and drive off because they ran out of something. Somewhat recently a woman cut me in line. She drove in front of me after I ordered at the box or whatever it's called and went to the window and ordered and then complained when the staff tried to explain others had ordered before her so her order wouldn't be out right away.”

“What a great little hidden gem! My wife and I stopped by in a whim last night on our way to Dairy Queen. I’m so glad we did!! So much closer, tasted delicious and best of all, you feel as if you are taking care of your own vs a big national chain. Pricing was pretty similar to what you would expect but the experience was far better! Bring the kids along! They have outdoor games setup for them to play, or the ability to go on the roof and check out the surroundings from up high! Meanwhile, the adults can mingle on the (plenty of) nice tables with umbrellas.My first experience and I know my wife was equally pleased. We will be back soon to try more!”

“Lovely small town diner. Cash only but they do accept local checks. We had the cinnamon roll, French toast, eggs over easy, toast and sausage links, Philly omelette with toast and hash-browns and chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was good. It was exactly what you think you will get when you order it. We will definitely go back. Cost was $40 + tip. Very reasonable.”

“My husband stops in here quite frequently to pick up Cinnabon on the way home from work and we just love them! They are so tasty and yummy. It's definitely better to buy them in a multi pack as they are cheaper the more you purchase. They are inside of the gas station instead of a stand alone building.”
