Stopped on my way through Gretna. The establishment is clean and neat. I ordered the burnt ends. The food was okay for the only BBQ place in town. The customer service could have been better but the NE Volleyball game was on the TV so I understand why the employees were preoccupied.
We were fairly disappointed with our meal there. The sliced brisket was sliced extremely thin, more like from a deli than a barbecue place. It was very dense and absolutely tasteless. Their excellent hot barbecue sauce helped but the brisket still wasn't worth eating. The burnt ends were very good and tasty. Stopped for lunch. I had the burnt ends and a cornbread muffin. Being from Kansas City I am very critical of BBQ elsewhere. For a good price the burnt ends were very good quality and taste. Service at the counter was great but the meat was cold when they came to the table. The cornbread was very good as well. Overall standard BBQ place.
