It's a really nice patio to look at the water, but that's where it ends. After 2 visits, the food is fairly decent, but only expect one drink. After our food was served, service is scarce. We received an overcooked, 2 ounce serving of Mahi. I'm not expecting much in Nebraska, but don't offer it if you can't make it well.

Great place! Great atmosphere! Food was hot and tasty! Service was A++. We arrived at 740pm. The waitress noticed the kiddos were getting tired and rushed their order so they could eat before they fell asleep!! So thoughtful!! Checked multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything. Will go back when we're in the area again. Fabulous place!!!

Beautiful surroundings.Good music. Food was cold & over cooked. Had a good waitress at first. Second waitress ignored us. Open tables everywhere. Disappointment in the food.

Joined a group of 15 people. Had reservations, so they knew we were coming. Only had 1 waitress to cover all of us. So she was fairly tied up with our group alone. Most of our groups food was cold, so maybe that is why it didn’t taste so good. Will be willing to give them one more try before I make a final decision. It was Friday, and the live band was so loud inside we couldn’t hold a conversation. I guess if that is what you’re looking for in a restaurant, then this might be for you! I say keep the band out on the patio, then they can have the noise, and the rest of us can have some conversation time. 110 mile round trip didn’t help my decision as well.

Haven’t been here before so wanted to try it. We seated ourselves and had 5 different employees walk past us (no acknowledgement). We sat for about 20 minutes until we went inside to get an employee to get our drinks. Drinks arrived and another 10 minutes went by before the wait staff asked if we were going to eat. Started with an appetizer. 15 minutes went by before anyone came back to ask if we were going to have dinner. The place wasn’t that busy and we decided to go somewhere else. Hopefully this is not typical but it wasn’t an enjoyable experience for us and doubt we will be back.

Our family was in search of a unique dining experience near Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. Luckily we came across The Weekend Lakeside Bar & Grill on Thomas Lake Road, just north of Ashland NE. The lakeside atmosphere is great. Food delicious. And the service awesome. We called ahead and our party of 16 was seated immediately, and served by a fantastic waitress. Besides the delicious food, the pool table, dart game and other fun activities were very entertaining.
It's not always easy to find a place to accommodate a larger group. Especially one that checks all the boxes. We highly recommend you give the Weekend Lakeside Bar & Grill a try!
