When I lived in Dayton over 10 years ago, I had the best apple fritters that of ever tasted. Over the last decade, I have tried to find an apple fritter that even came close, even when I traveled, and I always failed. Until today. We got apple fritters and donuts from Jim and Connie’s this morning, and the apple fritters blew me away. They are now the best I’ve ever had. Soft and tasty apple chunks, crispy edges, just the right amount of warm glaze, and a soft, tender inside....
Been hearing good things about this place so decided to check it out myself.

Fantastic selection. I've never seen apple fritters this big. Got a dozen assorted and Connie added a dozen donut holes because it was my first time in.
Those donut holes were the lightest, fluffiest, donut holes I've ever had. Neutral flavor batter with a light glaze. Simply amazing.

Donuts are truly unmatched. Perfect fluffy texture and crispy on the edge. The service was great and attentive, the owners seem to be living their dream and make you feel so at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who can take 30 mins in the morning to come up from Omaha. They are cash only so make sure to stop at the ATM. Immaculate small town vibes, feels like you're stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting.
