Decided to skip the interstate for a bit and enjoy the rural roads on our way to Colorado, and I’m so glad we did. We stumbled across this little diner and it instantly felt familiar.
There was an adorable group of women gathered for their morning coffee clutch, laughing and visiting, and it reminded me that small-town life exists far beyond Wisconsin. It genuinely felt a little like home.

Good lord do they know how to cook. We pulled off our road trip route, and were glad we did.
We had to wait an hour and a half for our food on a saturday with only a few other people in the restaurant, but the food was incredible and worth the wait in my opinion. It was odd they can only do breakfast or lunch, not a combination of both so some members in our group could not get lunch when the rest of us wanted breakfast.

The Spot Cafe is a cozy diner with a friendly vibe, perfect for a meal during Junk Jaunt. The shrimp platter special with grilled shrimp and butterfly fried shrimp was a highlight. The bronco burger was a favorite, with a wonderful grilled taste. The brisket sandwich with Italian pasta salad was a hit, served in a Mason jar. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot for a home-style meal, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or just passing through town. Lots of parking and kid-friendly too!
