BEST Asian food in the area, hands down.
We moved to Gering 3 years ago and skipped this place the whole time because it always looked empty… yeah, that was dumb.
One random night in February 2026 it was the only Chinese spot open, so we finally gave it a shot—and now I’m mad we waited so long.

After a long day of travel, we had the best meal at China House! The dinner combo is huge- we should have split one of them. The soup was hot and obviously homemade. The appetizers were crisp and fresh. I had the vegetable entree, and it was mostly tender pea pods, perfectly al dente broccoli, carrots, and water chestnuts. The Mongolian Beef combo is a popular choice, with tender beef, sweet onions, and sides like egg drop soup and fried rice. The prices are very reasonable, with lunch buffet at $8.95 and dinner at $10.95. The restaurant offers the best Chinese food in the area, with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere.
