“I have been to the Mixing Bowl a few times with my wife and we have enjoyed it a lot but this time we were extremely disappointed in the service. I ordered strawberry cheesecake pancakes but they were plain and tasteless so we asked our server to send them back and got a different dish, which was much better and enjoyable. When we got to paying the bill we were charged for the pancakes we sent back. When we asked our server about it, she said that she had to ‘fight’ with the manager to get us a 15% off those pancakes that we sent back. Getting charged for food that we did not like and sent back is something that we did not expect from a place we enjoyed going to. And the server having to fight with management to give any discount for a bad meal but still not either giving it for free or explaining it to us before the bill was just disappointing and poor.Edit: The owners refunded the pancakes fully and dealt with the situation quickly. Very impressed with the resolution of the situation and will be back again.”

“Highly recommended. Great environment and cozy feel. Amazing service. Fresh and flavorful food. The bacon was some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy but not crumbly. Also tasty hash browns that I kept wanting more of. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and Finishline knocks it out of the park!”

“Exactly what a Chinese buffet should be. Lots of options and decent quality. The generals chicken was actually spicy, something I rarely find. I went kinda late and there wasn't much sushi and they didn't restock it but what I had was decent for a buffet. The fried fish was good and several shrimp dishes with good shrimp. Will go again.”

“David and his family have a pretty good establishment at the old Pizza Hut in Gering. The prices for what you get and the portions are appropriate as well. You also have the ability to order alcoholic beverages if you choose to do so most of the time it is not packed, so it is easy to sit down and get your food in a timely fashion with good service overall. I would recommend getting some nicer menus and have a cleaner dining area. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to eat good Mexican food here in the valley.”

“My mom and I went to the log cabin restaurant yesterday for lunch, and everything was above and beyond the expected. The atmosphere was very comfortable, our waitress was very amazing and so sweet, the coffee and the food were A+++. I was very impressed. I brought half of my meal home. It was very filling. “Food was good, customer service by Trinity not so much. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but she definitely seemed Irritated that she had to stop what she was doing to help the guy that ended up cashing me out. I'm a Restaurant manager and been in the food Service for 24yrs, at the same place. I get it! it can be Stressful, but i didn't need to be treated like i was a nuisance. After, when i asked the guy that cashed me out what her name was and he told me , her attitude changed real quick (The guy cashier was very pleasant). I just moved to Gering. The first time I wanted to go to this Subway, They closed an hour early codidn't even try the food. The second time these two lovely young ladies very happy and i joked around with them made the experience pleasant. That's why I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars instead of a five star because of the1 bad experience I had because of one person. Food is great vegetables are fresh except the lettuce was browning. Establishment is clean.”

“We stopped through here on our way home for a late lunch. We ordered and shared fried cheese curds and a flatbread. The facility is attractive, clean, and a friendly ambiance. “Great staff. Food is solid. Server was great. The shishito peppers were fantastic. The sweet chili pepperoni pizza could have used a bit more sauce or a little less ricotta as it muted a bit but I added jalapenos and banana peppers that gave it a nice punch. Had the coffee nitro stout then the head brewer (Dan, I think. Sorry I'm bad with names!) had a can of the blackbird that didn't seal so he let me try some of that. It was a nice dark beer but also light and crisp. Chatted a bit too. Good people. I'm not back often so have never been. Good place to stop if you've never been or are passing through.”

“This is the first time I've actually been to the place myself. Boy, am I glad I did! The atmosphere is wonderful, the people and service is excellent! Very friendly and helpful, and quick to respond to a request. Couldn't ask for better!My sons had always gone and gotten the meats (oh my gosh yummmm!), and tortillas (wouldn't have any other kind!), but had never really told me about the restaurant, the little secret keepers! Well, I found it!The menu alone! Such a variety, and each dish, if the menu doesn't explain it well enough, the wait staff is more than happy to help.The food is delicious, cooked to absolute perfection! I am SO glad I stopped in there, and will be doing so on a regular basis I know!Oh, further down it asks which dishes I could recommend, I didn't have any of those myself, but I am sure they are all wonderful!I had a fish plate! And I gotta say, not many people can cook fish to the perfection that that cook did!”

I stick with the cheese enchiladas smothered with spicy chili, my son loves the beef enchiladas also smothered and he loves the tacos. We are so happy we found Taco Town since we are new to the area.
