Restaurantji's Gering guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“David and his family have a pretty good establishment at the old Pizza Hut in Gering. The prices for what you get and the portions are appropriate as well. You also have the ability to order alcoholic beverages if you choose to do so most of the time it is not packed, so it is easy to sit down and get your food in a timely fashion with good service overall. I would recommend getting some nicer menus and have a cleaner dining area. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to eat good Mexican food here in the valley.“
“My grandpa lives here, and whenever I visit I never miss a trip to Sandy's. Everything is authentic and fresh. We call in our order and they're always quick to prepare everything. You can also go through the drive-thru at this restaurant“
“Food was the best Mexican food I've had since I lived in Texas! Absolutely delicious! They have really great prices with their combo plates and it's more than enough food to fill you up. The service was very prompt and we were in and out within 45 minutes! 10/10“
“The employees are always warm and friendly, smiling and ready to take your order promptly. The lobby is always clean and comfortable. I have never had a complaint about eating at this location or the Scottsbluff location.Parking: Parking locations all around the building, and the parking lot is always kept clean.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap area is right at the door to limit the amount of walking.“
“Having had lots of tacos ? and Mexican food in my life, I was very impressed with this place. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were very good and authentic which was nice since you don’t get that in many other places. They had a little salsa bar area where you could add a bunch of toppings to your tacos, like onions, cilantro, different salsas; red and green, and more. The items are also very reasonably priced, and there were many other items on the menu that looked great that I intend to try during my next visits. My friend got the chicken tostada and she enjoyed that a lot as well.“
“This is the first time I've actually been to the place myself. Boy, am I glad I did! The atmosphere is wonderful, the people and service is excellent! Very friendly and helpful, and quick to respond to a request. Couldn't ask for better! My sons had always gone and gotten the meats (oh my gosh yummmm!), and tortillas (wouldn't have any other kind!), but had never really told me about the restaurant, the little secret keepers! Well, I found it!The menu alone! Such a variety, and each dish, if the menu doesn't explain it well enough, the wait staff is more than happy to help. The food is delicious, cooked to absolute perfection! I am SO glad I stopped in there, and will be doing so on a regular basis I know!Oh, further down it asks which dishes I could recommend, I didn't have any of those myself, but I am sure they are all wonderful!I had a fish plate! And I gotta say, not many people can cook fish to the perfection that that cook did!“
“Can't describe how wonderful this place is! It's very relaxing and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We've been here quite a few times. I stick with the cheese enchiladas smothered with spicy chili, my son loves the beef enchiladas also smothered and he loves the tacos. We are so happy we found Taco Town since we are new to the area. The food is very unique and when people use the term comfort food, this is IT!!!! Thanks Taco Town!!!“
“We've been to Antonio's a bunch of times and I just realized I have never left a review. This is my favorite place to eat Mexican food in Scottsbluff. It's more like the food I grew up eating. I love that the enchiladas are made with corn tortillas and the sauce is thick, flavorful and smothers the enchiladas. The beans and rice are always great and taste like they were freshly made. The carne asada is the best! It's great in tacos, burritos, or just on a plate. I haven't tried it on fries, but it seems like it's a pretty popular dish. The pico and guac that come with it are so good too. The adobada is pretty tasty too! The peeps that run this place are so incredibly nice and hard working. They treat you like a guest in their house, they make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. I love it! Cheers!“
“I've gone to this restaurant since I was a little girl. There's a ton of Mexican restaurants now days, but this is one of my favorites. They have the best rice hands down. My husband absolutely loves their enchiladas. They offer coke and Pepsi products so it pleases everyone in the fam. Food is always hot and done in a timely manner. Their prices are almost unreasonably low compared to every other place around so sometimes it's weird paying lol! If you haven't tried this place, I recommend it. I believe it's all still family ran, too, which is something I love about it.“
“Food is very tasty small portions for the price I ordered a green pork chili burrito and beans although it was very tasty it was. majority all beans had little pork menudo was great had to pay extra for pigs feet and it only had 1 pigs “
“I got the 3 Amigo plate with the enchilada smothered in their delicious pork chili. Next visit I’m getting the Indian taco. Domingo is friendly and made great conversation with my husband and I. We walked in and we were treated like old friends. I highly recommend everyone go there.“
“Came all the way from Arizona and this place a just as good as back home if not better! Great atmosphere, great staff and amazing food! I highly recommend OleDietary restrictions: No problem to serve people with gluten allergiesKid-friendliness: Family environment with plenty of high chairs and kid friendly staff.“
“First time here, since changed hands. My wife's favorite, jalisco, was on special, she enjoyed. I ordered pollo feliz, which was great, and a chili relleno, not so much. Breading was oily, inside was cold. Couple of bites, and nope that's done for me. Obviously made ahead and partially rewarmed. We sat for 10 minutes before waitress, who had been cutting lemons behind the bar, came over to take orders. Wasn't busy, so I don't know what the problem was.“
“The food is always great, and the service is pretty good too. Always busy, but yet it doesn't take long to go through the line or get your food. The only problem that is constant is the echoing sound from the customers. They need to install sound deadening panels around the lobby to cut down on the excess noise. Sometimes it is extremely loud, and if they have the music turned up, it increases the issue. But other than that, it's an amazing place to sit and eat a great meal.“
“Went to El Molcajete at the recommendation of some friends. The food was amazing! I had beef tamales and beef tacos. I couldn't eat all of my food. Service was fast, food was delicious and authentic. I saw several posts saying it was cash only, but they must take cards now. I ended up eating here several times while in Scotts Bluff. Parking is limited and the atmosphere is nothing fancy but it's 100 percent worth it for the food!“
“I haven't been here since I was a kid, and didn't remember how it tasted. Today, my mom said I decided to eat here for lunch and we were both impressed with the food quality, taste, and pricing wasn't too bad. The rice was super flavorful and enchiladas were great. Service was good and it was spacious inside. We have agreed this will be our go to Mexican food restaurant for lunch for a while. Good job guys. ? ? ?“
“On 02/27, I had great service. The young lady was making me laugh as she took my order. That made my day. Several employees asked if I had been helped as I was waiting for my food. It’s a rarity to find that kind of attention in most places. Good job everyone! The food was delicious and prepared well. The only thing that stood out was a taco shell seemed to be over cooked or burnt. If it weren’t for that, the food review is a 5-star.This was my first visit to Scottsbluff and Taco John’s helped make it a positive experience.“
“Amazing burritos i always get the beef bean and cheese. With there famous red sauce. I always get extras to reheat next day.Parking: Easy to fit enclosed trailerKid-friendliness: Always welcome to everyone. Asked the kids what they wanted and if the food was good.“
