If you are tired of brightly lit, cold, loud bars filled with 100 TVs playing all different sports, and instead would like more of a “Cheers” bar kind of bar… where the locals go to hang out, unwind and just relax with a cold beer or cocktail, then I would definitely recommend Glass Bar. It may not look like much from the outside… but on the inside we were warmly welcomed, promptly attended to and were able to hang out with friends (and actually hear each other speak ), play a game of pool, darts or pinball. We were just passing thru town on vacation… but when we are in the area again… we will definitely be back!“

“Cool place to hang. One of the oldest bars in Grand Island. Crowded in the evenings. Classic bar on one side, booths on the other. Still remember, Dad took me in there 55 years ago. Was owned by Ed and Netty Ruff for years. Hasn't changed much.“

“One of my favorite bars in Grand Island to go to. Fast friendly service. It was my first time there but they made me feel like a regular. Everyone was nice and having a great time. It was the kind of bar expiernce you hope for when going out at night. There is 1 dartboard and 1 pool table. The staff is awesome.“

“Wow, that was a nice surprise. An unassuming biker bar look from the outside. Walk in, and it's all local family and friends, eating the best home made food in the area. Known for their daily specials and ridiculously great pizza. I can't overstate the pizza qualities. Get off the main drag that is highway 281. Take Old Potash Highway West and find a very relaxed place to feel at home.

“We stopped for breakfast while travelling. Wanted to find a local spot, and really enjoyed our food and service. We both got the Palace omelet with hash browns. The omelet ingredients were perfectly cooked and the hashbrowns were crispy. Our waitress was super friendly. Would definitely return!“

“I was hesitant to try this restaurant because they are fairly new in the area and I'm reluctant to try new foods because normally they're disappointing and I leave having buyers remorse ? but this place did not disappoint. They are open late and the food is amazing. We ordered the #24 (chicken fajitas) and two chicken enchiladas ??? both dishes were delicious. (The enchiladas were very good) The service was quick and great. Very kind young man working the drive thru. Glad it was so late and everywhere was closed giving us the opportunity to try a place we probably normally wouldn't have went to if our favorite places had been open. Definitely adding this restaurant to our favorite places in Grand Island ?“
