“We had reservations so a table was available with no waiting. Two of our guests ordered the prime rib Their steak was great as was the salad bar.One of our guests ordered the filet mignon (medium well). The first cut into the steak was a little pinker than expected, but she thought it was okay. However, as she cut deeper into the steak it was red with blood/juices - not the way she ordered it.She passed it to her husband, thinking he might be okay with it being so rare....it was a bit too rare for him, as well.We offered to have our server take it to possibly fix the mistake, but she didn't want to say anything to cause any issues (this was her first time there), so we let it go.As usual, the restaurant was busy, service was great and we had a nice time.Vegetarian options: Available”

“It was an overdue date night. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a dinner date. The staff was friendly and made everything just perfect even right down to the little date night sign on the table. We even had a candlelight! Food and servicewas 100%.”

“Mike's did the food for our sons and daughter in laws rehearsal dinner. Mike's pizza and wings were delicious. We ordered a large quantity of food and the food was ready when we requested. Mike was very helpful as we do not live in Hastings. We would highly recommend using Mike's pizza for any event.”

“We love independent coffee shops, and Barista’s of Hastings was very good. It was fairly crowded at 715 on a Wednesday morning, but they had two lines of traffic going through the drive thru, and we were served quickly. Our latte and chai tea latte were just the way we liked them, and the server most pleasant and efficient. Definitely recommend!”

But my son kept trying to get his mom and me to go there.I have to say it was a good find food was great prices were real reasonable service was great and the best part I didn't get a bar vibe.Parking: It had plenty of parking. “We were seated within a minute. Waitress approached right away and was pleasant, took drink orders then gave us time to view menu. She brought drinks in about two minutes and took dinner orders. The food arrived in 10 minutes or so, the Waitress made several visits to our table during our entire stay. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. I will eat here again.”

“I put my review on FB a while back, but I just felt like I should also put this review here as well. I don't plug food or businesses often. However, I have to tell you my experience taking my son-in-law to Beto's Tacos.We arrived at Beto's for the purpose of just dining and talking, and for the purpose of actually reading a little bit of the Bible and discussing some issues. Honestly, I don't usually make a habit of going to a resturanate and cracking open the Good Book, but at times I have and this was one of those times.We had contemplated just getting some food and leaving, but it was evening and there weren't many patrons present so we decided to stay. As we approached the counter Beto, who is in a motorized wheelchair, took our order. (He was the only employee up front taking orders and serving, while his only cook was in the attached food truck.) After our order was taken he asked what we were talking about tonight. I told him we were reading the Bible and discussing the Old and New Testament and there discussion of Jesus/Messiah. He said, "Ok, I'll be over and read in just a minute." He wheeled over to us and read full chapters with us from Genesis, Revelation, Hebrews, and others. He went back to and took orders several times and helped patrons and would come back and chat with us on the matters further. You can tell he loves the Lord and isn't afraid to discuss it. As we left his business we prayed with him, over his his business, and his health, and apparently his ministry there. The food was good, and the company was even better.I write all this not knowing everything about Beto or his whole menu. I can testify to his treatment of us and would recommend you stop by sometime and try him out if you haven't. He seems like a nice humble man. And because this FB review page is very much about food, our food was excellent. We will return again.”

“This is a cute, cozy café with nice décor and plentiful seating.One of the baristas was friendly and chatty while the other was less so; more focused on just getting the job done.We ordered extra espresso shots for our 20 oz vanilla lattes, bringing the total up to four. The coffee flavor was still very mild, but the lattes themselves were decent. They use Styrofoam cups, which are probably bad for the environment, but did hold the heat much longer than paper cups do.We didn’t really care for the coffee cake or the lemon muffin we ordered. Maybe they were having an off day or maybe our preferences just differ.”

“Our 3 dishes were great, including a burger sourced from much better than average quality beef. Also a very fresh tasting poke bowl and a unique appetizer.Gretchen was our server and cared for us as if she owns the place, which is so rare anymore. Wish we lived closer to sample the rest of the menu. We each had a hard time deciding, but suspect we could not have gone wrong with any choice, based on the quality and reasonable value of our selections. If you're a foodie seeking both quality and value while in Hastings; eat here!”

“I've always enjoyed Steeple, however, Wave Pizza had some service issues which I'm so happy have been resolved because who doesn't love a good craft beer and pizza joint...it's my jam! We don't live in Hastings, but have family there so this is always our go-to for craft beer. We went last weekend for the Purgatory Pies opening and the pizza was amazing and the service was great. I always enjoy the beer as well...love to get a flight so I can enjoy a little of each and they are a bomb price. The only thing I will say (not negatively) is I hope for some new brews soon because they don't seem to have anything small batch and only a couple seasonals throughout the year. Cheers! :)”

Plus it is a historic site in Hastings. It would be so nice if you removed the picture of the lady with her middle finger up. Not a very nice picture at all.”

“What a great experience. The brewery is located next to a city park. A food truck was parked out front. The temperature in June was beautiful. We sat on the sidewalk patio and sampled everything they had on tap. The pretzels in with the flight was a special touch I do not really see anymore. Craft beer is a personal experience. I value a breadth of offerings to everyone. I found several I liked, but having so many options is what I really liked. The people working the taps were fantastic. They knew the product and willing shared the knowledge with a smile and a laugh.”

“This is the best bar in Hastings! I attended Hastings College, and this bar is at the center of some of my best memories in the town. The bar tenders were always amazing, even when they were swamped with people. The karaoke is the cherry on top! It is run very well and they even have a stage for you to perform on :) Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in town :)”

“Great smaller bar in Hastings. It's open pretty much every night of the year. One of the few or the only one in Hastings that does. Always a good mix of people there and everyone usually gets along. It's a great place to be!!!”
