“Fantastic detour off I80. I believe the owner makes a lot of her own baked goods. I had a scone that was to die for. My sister complained about drinks being too sweet but I think it's a Nebraska taste. Just ask for less sweet if you don't like that. Everything is very cute in the decor and the service by the owner is efficient and friendly. Support a local business and see something off the interstate.”

“Great Pizza and cinnamon rolls. Who ever is in charge of making dough has the secret whipped! Too bad not currently a sit down location but order only at a window, order ahead so the wait is not factored in. Our wait was pretty long but they kindly gave us a dozen delicious home made cookies for free! Worth the drive to get to this small town gem!”

“Wasn't expecting a good meal, being a tavern. However, the food was phenomenal! We ordered the prime rib. Still wasn't expecting it to be good, but we were wrong. It was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Then, I ordered a dessert. Was not expecting dessert. Got the chocolate cream. That, too, was delicious. The crust was the best part. I then spoke to the chef. He makes the pie, crust & all. I complimented the food. He was appreciative. It may not look like much on the outside, but it's a neat & clean place. The food is exceptional.”

“This place is by far THE BEST pizza place in Grand Island. Call and order your pizza and it’s ready within 15-20 minutes. Staff are very friendly as well. This is my families go to spot for pizza. Their wings are also very very good!”

“Stopped in for dinner while visiting the area. Quickly seated at a nicely appointed table and were attended to promptly by our waitress. Ordered our entrées and received delicious freshly baked rolls to hold us over until our meals arrived. Do yourself a favor and definitely get the oil for the bread when offered! So incredibly delicious, with little red pepper flakes, and was the perfect addition to the rolls; we nearly liked the plates that oil was so good! Hubby had Lasagna, while I had the Manicoti; both served piping hot and were delicious!The only negative to share is every time a customer entered/exited via the front door, an arctic blast of freezing cold air swept in and we were in direct line of the chill it brought. Considered asking to be moved to another table, but we stayed where we were. Just a side note for future patrons to take into consideration if they're sensitive to the cold. We will definitely be back next time we drive through.”

“We had breakfast at Tommy's while in grand Island for pictures of the Sandhill cranes. It is a local coffee shop serving American coffee shop food. We both had omelets and hash browns. They were good, not great. Coffee was good. Service was good and staff was friendly.”

“Great lunch spot and a worthy alternative to the fast food chains that dominate the I-80 corridor. Plus they serve beer and adult bevies. Bartender lady was just about the most pleasant person I met on this trip and made the visit memorable.Parking: Big shared lot, plenty of spaces close to the entrance. No signs of crime or urban decay. Clean for a parking lot.”

“I drove to Grand Island to remote work at my mom’s only to discover her internet wasn’t working so I decided to take a stressful situation and make the best of it. I went to Scooters on Locust St and was greeted by some amazing people! In the 3 hours I was there, I enjoyed my green ice tea, listened to the warm and genuine customer service from the young staff, and felt welcomed & accommodated. Thank you!”

“When I order a chocolate brownie extreme blizzard, it has the right amount of chocolate in it! When I go to the other DQ and order the same blizzard, they give me more vanilla ice cream with a little chocolate sprinkled in. I will always drive across town to this store exclusively!!”

“One of my favorite Subway sandwich shops, and I've frequented a lot of them across many states these past decades. Great to see them at Walmarts these days, a good combination. The current Subway manager here is truly a stand-up worker. Lately she's had a difficult time finding and keeping workers, not due to a store or management problem though. Many people around Grand Island and the surrounding communities simply do not want to work these days. A shame, it is, but true.”

“Our hotel gave us a free breakfast from these guys and the food was self serve and quick which is what we needed before driving some more . Food was good not amazing but I can't complain it was included! We had pancakes , sausage, eggs offered and they were good .”

“Love this cinnamon rolls and eat them almost everyday when I'm traveling. Use Google to find the nearest location on my route every morning when I'm traveling by car. I start to worry I'll get sick of them after a few days but then I get home, take a week off, and can't wait to get back on the road so I can find another Cinnabon the next morning”

“I showed up on October 11th, 2023 at approximately 10:10PM. The gal at the window was very nice. Another gal from the kitchen came to the window and let me know the fries would take another 2 minutes. My food was incredible! As in, it was by the book, perfect, how taco bell is supposed to be. I haven't had taco bell like this in years. I'm visiting from Texas and I can't even tell you how nice it is to not receive stale taco shells, stale hard chalupa's and gross burritos. The cook at your location clearly works with her heart and prepares only food she would eat herself. That means a lot. For that, I just want to thank you! Thank you so much! Your employees that were working this evening rock!!!!”
