The menu is incorrect. Don’t try calling for takeout because they can’t hear their phone and if they do they can’t hear you on the other end. It’s so loud in there you can’t hear anything. This place lacks the old cellar atmosphere and the original onion rings and hot beef sandwiches.
The Cellar has always held a special place in my heart. However, my friend and I ate there last night and unfortunately both ended up very sick afterward. We shared onion rings and each had the crab rangoon burger, one of my usual favorites, and spent the night feeling awful. I’ll spare the details, but this was the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. Food was subpar. Hamburger was over cooked and fries warm. Other people we were with thought the same thing. The breading on the onion rings was thick and doughy. I can’t foresee this business being a long-term business.
