First time here. The food was fine, nothing to get impressed by.Service, on a Sunday afternoon, employees did not seem happy at all. We did not get one smile at all from the buser, servers, or anyone else walking by. It took us a while to get our check. The servers weren't walking around checking on us. Strong but poorly constructed house Margarita, bizarre Pico de Gallo had chopped mushroom rather than tomatoe. Salsa watery and almost flavorless.Rice cooked properly but also, flavorless. Enchilada mole was tough, too sweet, not spice and seemed like thawed with microwave from freezer. Okay to go with friends at happy hour then leave for better food elsewhere.

I love Mazatlan. However, the last time we went, we must've been sat in a section no one's section. We sat for a long time, servers walked by multiple time making eye contact, by no interaction. When the waitress did come and wait on us, the food was great as usual. I would usually rate this restaurant higher. Maybe next time...
