It's so bad. No good environment, no good food. The seats are teared and the food is too greasy and taste bad. The only good thing is the servant
My family of 5 stopped at Denny's for breakfast on our way home (Iowa) from Thanksgiving in CO. We were seated at a booth and given menus. Our waitress came out and took our orders. We then waited 45 minutes for our food to come out—we were still missing 3 meals and no butter or syrup for our pancakes. At this time, we watched 2 managers and 1 employee go outside for a cigarette (they had the cigarettes in their hands while walking out of the building). Our waitress came back and asked if we needed anything else and we told her the issues. The waitress (her name is FLO) brought our food out, ALL OF IT. And apologized for the managers actions and stated they do this all the time! We got up to leave, thanking Flo for everything she did, she worked her A$$ off with no help from anyone else. We went to pay and the manager rang it up, asked how everything was and we told her that it was bad and what could have been better. The manager (not sure of name, red long hair, grungy looking, looked like she just got out of bed) shrugged her shoulders and said “that's too badâ€. Not caring about our complaint what so ever. We confronted her about her smoke break without people having what they needed and she stated “I'm a manager I can do whatever I wantâ€. We were not the only people complaining! The building wasn't even busy! Maybe 7 tables of people. I can't make this up, people!!! As long as your waitress is FLO, you're in good hands.
Denny's seemed like a smart choice at three in the afternoon for coffee. There was only one table occupied and this lady was unhappy about slow service. When her order came out there was no mayo on the sandwich. The waiter then told her they were out and offered thousand island dressing. First, the waiter was aware they were out and second, how can a restaurant be out of mayonnaise??? Go to the store and buy some. Most employees hang out the back of the building. They had time. I ordered a bowl of potato soup. I think they have a basic cream soup from the can. Put some steamed red potatoes in a bowl which they use in other menu items, pour in the cream soup from the can, sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Wasn't hot. Wasn't good. Never seen a potato soup made with red potatoes with the skin on. There is a red sharp box in the women's restroom for needles! Why?? This Denny's is not up to the normal standard of Denny's. This is the first bad restaurant review I've ever done. Drive on by if you're traveling through the area. Like other reviews we had to wait for the lady to come back inside off her phone to pay.
I don't understand people and there negative reviews about minor things ; didn't get offered a straw for water… SERIOUSLY!! Anyway, my experience was positive. Positive is simple because staff is doing what they can to serve what is asked for. Humans make mistakes. I only ask that staff try. Rick was great!
This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star. This is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. When you first walk in there is no one at the hostess counter and it is pretty dirty throughout the restaurant. We finally get seated and the hostess had to clear and clean the table before we could sit down. We stayed at the Quality Inn which is connected to the restaurant and were offered a free breakfast voucher for Denny's. For that reason we weren't even given any menus. What if we wanted to pay for a breakfast and get something different? Oh well, we all decided to keep it easy and get the free breakfast. We waited 15 minutes before the waitress came to our table and took our drink and food orders. Then, we waited another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. We were waiting forever it seemed for our food to come out and it never came. We saw the table right next to us get their food and they were seated after we were. The lady from the table asked the waitress where our food because we were seated before them. The waitress then turns to us and said, "We lost you order slip in the back and have made a new one." We asked when our food would be out and the waitress said, "I don't know". Are you kidding me? First, I don't even think she was going to make us aware of the lost ticket if the lady at the next table didn't ask her where our food was. Second, how do you not know when the food will be out? Shouldn't it be pushed to the front of the line and come out within 5 minutes?? We just got up and left the after the whole debacle. Someone needs to step up and take care of this place. I will never return to this Denny's.
