“Beautiful hotel. Did a staycation there and had a wonderful time. The committee chophouse and the cottonwood room were great places for food and drinks. I would go there again for a staycation.“

“My experience at the casual pint was all about beer. Sorry I can't comment on the food.
For beers on tap I was able to find all the info I needed to make my decisions. I tried three darker beers. All of their selections were good. I did get help from a barkeep on a pumpkin ale. He was spot on. One of the best. It made me feel like they select their tap beer on quality.
Besides the tap beer they have a ridiculous amount of beer cans and bottles either for take away or in house consumption.
Excellent experience on a Friday afternoon. It made me wonder where other casual pints exist. I'm hoping one comes to South KC.“

“Our group ate here after an event. Part of our order wasn’t put in and when staff were alerted, they immediately made our order priority. When they brought out our food they also gave us a gift card with and apologized profusely! It was very kind of them! We weren’t upset because they were so busy during a Husker game and working hard, but it was definitely appreciated! It was our first time eating here and the staff and food were great! We will be back!“
“A great place to stop in for a drink. Great selection of craft beers, whiskeys and bourbon. The bartenders and knowledgeable and friendly. Always ah e a good recommendation for a new beer or drink to try. I love the decor with all the walls lined with liquor bottles.“
“Had the absolute pleasure of hosting a surprise party for my husband here. The event coordinator was fantastic and answered all questions super quick. The food is a 10000/10 everyone loved it. Plenty of beer and cocktail options for everyone to be happy. I planned this party sight unseen and it was my first ever experience here. We will be regulars for sure! Now i will say, their party room is small, could realistically host a comfortable number of 15-20 BUT we were allowed to take up tables throughout the bar so our party of 40 didn’t even flinch. Bartenders were super chill and helpful!“

“It was our first time at Cedar. Nick is a special bartender. We asked him for recommendations and then just to "make me something" and he did not disappoint! My favorite was the Amaretto sour. It's Nick's secret recipe and it was so good, I had 3 of them! I wish we would have come here sooner!“

“Charly was our waiter and he was absolutely phenomenal! He talked to our 1 year old like she was his own family. My family loves this place!!“
“We stopped by on a whim while doing some Christmas shopping. The employee working was helpful in answering my questions on which beer to choose. I decided on the seasonal milk stout that did not disappoint. Plus, adding a book library makes me even happier! Books + beer = Heaven for me!“

“While it took awhile to get waited on when first arrived, there was zero short after that! I believe possibly the day manager waited on us while the other waiters truly hussled through the other orders when what I believe was a substantial lunch crowd hit right at opening! Take my word for it-do the hummus tray! Pesto and sundried tomato hummus was unreal-so good! My husband had the Swiss mushroom burger with the up charged sweet potato fries which was so worth it! Our cocktails were well made with a nice pour. Well done Local Beer! We will return! (Sorry no pictures!). Would be great for a sport even! Energetic atmosphere!“

“Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering is an Omaha staple started by Patricia “Big Mama” Barron after her successful career in telecommunications. What began as a side gig catering company out of Big Mama’s own kitchen has expanded to a legacy being upheld by Big Mama’s family. Your money being spent here goes directly into the community, with Ms. Gladys (Big Mama’s daughter) often donating to funerals/community events/etc. There is even a scholarship available for neighbors recently released from corrections; a culinary arts degree from Metro Community College. Big Mama’s presence is still strong in North Omaha, and Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering are making sure that legacy continues on for years to come. Thank you for opening up the Big Mama family so we can all raise up this wonderful woman and her tenacity.“
