Burger Detour (183rd and Maple)

Heard about Burger Detour and immediately had to try. Visited the S 203rd Street was greeted right when we walked in the restaurant. The staff was so kind and friendly and very helpful. The manager Diane S was very respectful and kind to her staff and also came to make sure us as customers were satisfied. I will definitely come back to visit. Also was given a special little gift ( a hoodie) for the visit.

Excellent service and delicious food! The staff is friendly and polite. The restaurant is super clean and smells great. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I've been here 4 times now, each time hoping that the next time would be better and maybe the quality of the food was just due to an off day. However, the food is consistently mediocre. The basic burger was honestly one of the worst I've had. I couldn't finish it. Cooked to death, under-seasoned, and soggy. Fries were alright. The chicken sandwich was actually pretty good. I'd go back for that... But then there's the service. Maybe they're understaffed, but a "fast" food place might want to figure this out before opening. Each time I've been one of maybe 2-3 cars and it's taken over 10-15 mins to get my food. Overall, just really underwhelming, especially for how expensive it is. It looks great from the outside, but I'd rather go somewhere with better food and service. Hopefully they can make some positive changes!

No flavor, not hot, wouldn’t waste my time going back. I ended up getting sick from the food. No thanks !

This Place is pretty Darn good. Real good burger, love the fries combo, strawberry shake was delicious. Just don't drink your whole medium shake before you eat your meal. Will be coming back for sure.

I wanted to see what this joint was about. Got their double, straight up as it is on the menu. Two thick, crumbly, but somehow not dry, kinda weirdly wet, not juicy, just wet, unseasoned patties. Two slices of American cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles and onion, all on the bottom of the burger. Ketchup, yep, just ketchup. Not house made or anything, just a squirt of Heinz. I didn’t even see mustard, mayo, or a signature sauce on the menu. A squishy bun that gets stuck in your teeth. For $9. I don’t get it. I don’t know who this is for.

You ever get forced on a team building outing for work? This is the burger your manager makes on one of those grills they have at city parks. He just bought the premade patties in bulk from Sam’s club and chucked them straight on the grill without salt or pepper. There’s only ketchup because Cheryl from accounting was in charge of condiments and she’s kind of space case, so all you had was the bottle of Heinz from the break room fridge, who knows how long that’s been in there. There’s no Tomato because you were tasked with bringing them, but you were gonna duck out early, but your manager cornered you on your way to the car and coerced you into attending. Except those burgers have more flavor because they’re cooked on those disgusting grates over charcoal.

People were nice and the service was fast though.

I love cheeseburgers and trying new restaurants, so I made my husband come with me even though it's a bit of a drive from La Vista. But it was worth it! Our cheeseburgers and fries (waffle for hubs and crinkle cut for me) we're delicious!
