This is the BEST Chinese in Omaha. Quality and consistency on a whole other level. The place is always impeccably clean and the service is excellent. Try the beef, it stands out in quality even for Nebraska, known for good beef. Can’t go wrong here!

Crab rangoon was alittle too thick for my liking but soup and food was delicious! Large portion at lunch.

Chicken was dried out like it had been left out.
Might seem petty but the fortune cookie was also old and completely stale. I won't return.

I've been here a few times recently. I like it because it feels like a sit down Chinese restaurant and I don't feel rushed or like I'm having fast food.

The food is overpriced and overcooked. I ordered ONE honey chicken with fried rice and ONE order of crab rangoon that came out to $22.60- you would think for that price it would be a decent portion. NOPE. The 10 pieces of chicken was served in a small to go rice container with an even smaller container for the fried rice. The chicken tasted days old as if they just kept refrying it- the texture of the chicken was hard and unpleasant. Now I’m sure the rice was even older because it was unbelievably dry and also hard. I would never eat at this restaurant again- very disappointed for the price I paid for ONE person.

Restaurantji Recommends
Disappointed in the main entree. Ordered Princess Chicken.
It was very dry, and the chicken was almost overcooked.
Crab rangoon, Egg roll and Egg Drop soup were good.
Staff was friendly.

The times I have come in it is always so clean, calm, inviting and your are served by the nicest people!!! The food is always done so well and I have never had a thing I didn't like!
Everything tastes like fish. Mongolian beef tastes like fish. Sweet and sour chicken my wife ordered tastes like fish. Not coming back.
Update we both had a bad case of food poisoning.
Was contacted and asked to come back. Not going through that again.
This is whenever I go to restaurants. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal or a bad service here. We go back again and again and I highly recommend golden palace.
It's sad I have to reduce my good review down to a bad review. Just popped in yesterday for lunch with my wife. I got combo fried rice with no shrimp extra chicken. My wife got fried tofu. I also ordered crab rangoon and one beef egg roll and one regular vegetable egg roll.
My problem started with the food. The egg drop soup was old and thick. Barely edible.
The beef egg roll I got I kept pulling out unknown objects from it. Couldn't tell if it was fibers from a scrub brush that came off inside or if it was something else plastic.
Also pulled several black shiny pieces of what I can only imagine are char from a pan out from my egg roll also unidentifiable.
Could not eat my egg roll nor my egg drop soup. Had to throw away half of the fried rice I didn't eat because there was so many chicken pieces with gross skin and feathers on it inside the food.
Though it did taste good. The beef also used was old and very dry and uneatable I didn't really eat any of the beef present.
My issue got really bad when I got my innocent fortune cookie at the end. I scarfed mine down and whimsically read my fortune.my wife opened hers and broke her cookie apart and read her Fortune.
I reached across the table to grab a bite of her cookie. Then I saw it.
There was blue and white n Black mold inside the fortune cookie they had given me.
Unfortunately I ate some of that mold.
They apologize for giving me an old fortune cookie they got out of the bottom of the bin.
I left no tip on the receipt. I even wrote bad cookie with an arrow pointing to the zero tip I left.
Couldn't help but notice when I got into my car to leave the Chinese looking waitress had come out the front door angrily holding my receipt in her hand looking bewildered.
For two lunches that totaled $42? You're going to come outside and degrade yourself in front of God and everybody because I said no to giving you a tip when you fed me mold?!
Get real. I'd like to know what you guys have to say for yourselves 🙏😭
