To start with positives, the cooked sushi was decent and the waiter was lovely. I would say the sashimi platter was disappointing especially if we at paying a lot for a plate. Sashimi slices should not be this thick. It was like biting into a steak. They weren’t cut properly too displayed in the photo. Also, the texture was way too slimy as I seemed to not be fresh. It wasn’t prepared properly either as in the photo I had to spit out a piece after I found a fish scale in one of the pieces.

The space has aged and is definitely due for a renewal... It was too noisy (as usual) and it has lost a lot of its cachet... Plastic menus? Gimme a break! The food was good overall (Tuna Tartare, Calamari, Sashimi for two) but some of the cuts (octopus) were too thick. They will not do hand-rolls, which will be a deal-breaker for us in the future. Service was outstanding; our waitress was busy with large tables but she provided us with great attention and care.

Happy hour was excellent and service was great! Really good Happy Hour pricing and lots of choices. We went on a Monday afternoon/evening and had a wonderful time.

Miso soup was inedible. No seaweed or tofu, just dirty gym sock flavor. Could not even get a full spoon down. If I had not been there with company I would have left after that. The bento deal for lunch is overpriced for what you get. I seriously get better sushi at the grocery store.

Stopped at Hiro on a couples trip to Omaha. It had one of the best happy hours I have ever seen. It even had a decent variety of selections for the person in our group that doesn’t eat seafood. The choices available for sushi and rolls was amazing. It wasn’t just a few basic rolls on the happy hour menu. There were at least 20. The happy hour menu on their website lists fewer than half of what is available. The drink specials were awesome as well. Our server was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to visit again.

My wife and I came down from Sioux City, IA, to Omaha to celebrate her birthday weekend. We ate here for lunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere at this restaurant is fun but yet relaxed, and the service was great also. We both got the hot and sour soup and 3-item bento boxes. Mine had salmon sashimi (top left), steamed rice (top right), spicy tuna roll (bottom left), and California roll (bottom right). My wife's had sweet chili crab roll (top left), edamame (top right), steamed rice (bottom left), and spicy California roll (bottom right). It was all very tasty and filling. If you want to feel happy and full, definitely eat here!

The restaurant is very nice and the staff is always very friendly. The food is also excellent. They have a wide variety of choices and you cant go wrong, the chefs will nail it. They also have some great happy hour deals.
We were celebrating two birthdays, one being a 13 year old. We had a fabulous dinner plus appetizers. They even brought the two birthday people a piece of chocolate cake that was fantastic. We had a wonderful time and the waitress was really good and attentive.
