Only half of our salads and soups were brought out together. The rest of us waited 15 min to get our soup while our server took 2 other tables orders. When our entrees were brought out we only received half of our entrees before the server the. Went back and brought out another tables entrees. Once we finally received our entrees we then had to wait even longer for eggs rolls that the server blamed the kitchen for not making. Was not a great experience at all. Were also only offered drink refills at the end of the meal.

My review is strictly on the food as I didnt get the experience of dining in. For over two years I have heard I needed to try Hiro 88 cuisine. Now I have and for me, it doesnt even make the list to return which was repeated by 3 others in my group. I have never come across a piece of sushi I didnt want to finish until today. I ordered 3 different rolls, all low scores in flavor and presentation. Breading on the sesame chicken separated leaving me with cubed meat and sauce, unfortunately the flavor didnt carry the rest of the dish for me. Crab rangoons are good but lacked crunch. The lo mein was decent, good consistency fresh vegetables but heavily salted. The chicken in the fried rice reminded me of the precooked chicken patties warmed and sliced. Salad was just a spring mix, and the dressing was good. Miso soup was standard fare. High points for bagging, warmth, expeditited cooking and portions. Adequate utensils and sauces.

To me, its another Sysco one stop shop where nothing stands out.

Both bar tenders are great! The food is always wonderful, hot and delicious. We enjoy sitting at the bar because of the service and all the TVs.

We ordered 3 apps. The garlic edamame was incredible! The sweet potato fries were a pleasant surprise that were slightly sweet. The Rangoons were a solid choice as well!

The sushi was also well executed, lots of good flavor combinations. Couple of them could have used some texture as it was just all the same feel, but regardless solid flavors.

I had the bento box with teriyaki salmon. The salmon was kind of dry. My friend also had a bento and she wanted to pay extra to trade out steamed rice for fried rice, but they wouldn't do it. Overall food was good, the service was great and we enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely go back.

My girlfriend and I frequent this Hiro 88 often, usually at least once a month. I had a long day at work today and we decided to treat ourselves by having dinner at Hiro. We are immediately greeted by the manager and hostess, and are sat promptly. After being sat, we had waters on our table from one of the servers assistants within seconds - just like normal.

But after that, we didn't get a single word from anyone. We were sat at a high top in the bar area, though it was not busy. There were 5 other tables in the bar area, most of whom already had their food at their table. We waited at least 10 minutes before we left without anyone stopping by. I don't know the exact amount of time we waited since I did not expect to have to wait so long for a server. Maybe there was confusion on who was supposed to be our server, but someone should have noticed we were not being served.

Granted, I should have flagged down one of the staff members or said something to the manager before it got to that point, but by then my girlfriend and I were both hangry and we were over it. Besides, it is not our job to tell the restaurant to serve us.

Like I said, this was unusual for this restaurant which is why I did not give it anything lower than 3 stars. We love Hiro and we're very disappointed in this experience. I worked in the food service industry as a server for many years, so I know I have high standards, but I also know that there are off-days too. We will definitely be back, but wanted to warn others of our experience in the off-chance it happens to someone else.
