“I thoroughly enjoyed the remarkable freshness of the fish and the unique experience of watching the chefs skillfully craft each piece of sushi. Without question, it is the finest and most exquisite sushi offering one can find in Omaha. However, while the quality of the food was outstanding, I am unsure if this was the best omakase experience I’ve ever had.

Omakase is meant to be a holistic experience, not just about the sushi itself but the ambiance and the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in this regard. The setting, though intimate, was disrupted by two couples whose loud, rowdy conversations overtook the compact space. Despite asking the server if anything could be done, the response was, “we will try,” which turned out no meaningful action was taken. This left the environment feeling like a chaotic bar and far from the serene, harmonious experiences I’ve had in Japan, where sushi can be savored in a tranquil setting.

Additionally, a 22% gratuity was added automatically, which didn’t sit well with us given the overall experience.

In conclusion, while the fish was undeniably fresh and the sushi among the best you can find in Omaha—perhaps the only truly authentic omakase experience in Nebraska—the lack of a more curated and serene atmosphere made it difficult for me to be fully satisfied.“

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, just like the staff, who are always friendly and attentive. The service is impressively fast, and they even bring your food right to the table. The dishes are served fresh and hot, with steam rising from the plate—honestly, the photo doesn’t do it justice! My son absolutely loves the sushi here, and it’s always a hit with the whole family. “After a long and difficult day, had to say goodbye to my childhood dog💙, my family and i decided to stop by and grab some food from Sarku Japan. My family and I were under the impression that the mall closed at 9, it closes at 8. We arrived around 7:50 pm and asked if it was too late to order they all kindly said no. They have a lot if items for proteins including chicken, steak, salmon & tofu. Several rice/noodle options also kept our family happy! They open tomorrow with $6 specials, hit them up this weekend if you are brave and patient or as with all businesses, give them time to work through any possible issues and check them out later. While they are a franchise, the owners live in Omaha & were all on site working with employees to ensure they knew how to do their job & were supported.“
