First of all, let me tell you, after having to search for one of the best hidden gems in town, we were hoping this would've been the one. the steaks from the pictures looked good, we made reservations, it was quiet initially and empty, but that didn't deter us. we ordered a drink and appetizer to start, two steaks both medium rare. pomme puree, was told the vegetable will be broccolini. fantastic.

Sadly, from start to finish our experience had much to be desired. Service = beyond slow, waiter had to be prompted for every part of our experience. No bread with charcuterie board, no drinks, no checking in, no check, no thanks… I could go on. When we shared with “manager” - defensive. I had heard nothing but great things about Monarch, but won’t go back.
