We were overly impressed after reading many unpleasant reviews. We decided to give it a try since we’re staying at the Deco and going to a play (Pretty Woman) across the street at the Orpheum. We ended up sitting at the small bar just outside entrance to the restaurant since we wanted to make sure we made the show in time & the first open reactant until 6. (We actually wouldOf had plenty of time with the good service). We had awesome interesting drinks, great starter salad and Brussels sprouts (too many actually), a ribeye and steak salad…all cooked perfectly and an abundant portion of each. The people next to us had the Salmon and said it was phenomenal & she used to work in a restaurant! We were told a new chef was hired recently and the manager was on top of everything, employees were happy & very attentive… which provided a great evening for us - dispelling the bad reviews from the past.

Jack our server was very helpful and kind. He was happy to adjust my drink when needed. He remembered everyone’s order perfectly. I give 5 stars for not only our server Jack but for the food. Very well done and highly recommend!

I’m giving this 5 stars ⭐️ not only because the food was delicious, but because Jack our amazing server made the whole experience so wholesome! He’s AMAZING! I’m so satisfied with the kind of service he has provided that I don’t think any other server will top it any time soon! Truly a high valuable asset to the business.10/10 try the restaurant & request for Jack!!!

I visited for breakfast and they had no orange juice or espresso coffee. The avocado on toast was covered in balsamic glaze ruining it, I had to remove all the greens to make it edible. The 2 poached eggs were cooked together as one egg.

What I got was the chicken pesto linguine the chicken was delicious but the ingredients in the noodles was terrible. The chefs choice desert was really cold was the best. I asked the waiter did he want to check my i.d. For the alcoholic drink and he smartly blew his breath and said well since you pulled it out I guess. The chef and waiter kept hovering of me while I was eating

Waitress apologized that they were out of cherries when she brought my Manhattan, husband's gin and tonic was pink, made with soda water. My son's filet was over cooked, both his wedge potatoes and my husband's fries were soggy. Waitress said they were out of the house ranch at this time. Cucumbers in salad were peeled and seeded but in huge chunks, didn't eat them. My salmon was good however. Elegant setting and handy for a show at the Orpheum but the food took a long time to come out and was not up to par. This is our second time trying, will not return.

Service was exceptional, very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Food was above standards. Ahi Tuna Crudo was well, balanced with the avocado, tomato and strawberries. The salmon was seared perfectly with a perfect internal temperature. I recommend this venue for dinner with chef Scott

My teenage niece planned her mother's surprise birthday party here and made a reservation 2 weeks in advance but was called last minute (2hrs prior) by the restaurant to cancel the reservation with no explaination. She said James who works there called her and was very rude and hung up on her when she asked about the reason for the cancelation but did not give an answer and told he had no private rooms available for "her". She was very upset to the point she cried as she now had to try to find another restaurant to host the party with at almost 30 guest very last minute on a Saturday night while the NCAA tournament is going on as well. This is beyond unprofessional and inconsiderate of this restaurant. This would have been my first time going to Monarch but now I will never patronize this restaurant who treats their customers like this and I am telling anyone I know not to ever eat there. Shame on you!

The ahi tuna appetizer was almost tasteless. My old fashioned was warm (though it was served with a large ice cube). I've never had a warm cocktail...maybe the glass had just come out of the dishwasher. Our server was okay; she acted like she didn't want to be there. Nice ambiance, but I don't think it was worth the price.

We had a great dinner last night at Monarch! Four of us were going to The Lion King and wanted to have dinner first. I'm really glad we picked monarch! The food was great, the atmosphere had a nice, relaxed vibe and the service was fantastic! Very glad we picked this restaurant and will definitely be back!

cold appetizer, The hostess was our server, even though we had reservations, Steak was overcooked and seasoned. The hostess/server or whatever she was, made it clear, we could not put the bill to our room because she needed her tip LOL. Probably won’t be back plenty of other restaurants to dine at
