Don't miss this place! Fantastic food and service. Great happy hour prices for oysters at $1.50 each. Laid back atmosphere is perfect. I had gumbo and the flavoring was so good, not overseasoned. Husband had the risotto. It was perfectly cooked. Lots of seafood. Their homemade andouille is so good.
They were having their 2-day Oyster Fest, featuring 3 varieties of fresh shucked oysters on ice, starting at $8 a dozen. What a deal! The jambalaya was fresh, rice grains separate (not mushy), and seasoned perfectly. The fish and chips was crispy and very tasty. The service was spot-on, 4 different people stopped by table to check on us or just say hi.
Employee owned and you can tell. People here love what they do and where they are. Sounds pretentious and it is but I don't enjoy bottom feeders. Shrimp is bugs and it tastes sweet to me which is weird. Enough about me though! Always love the fish and other options. We have chosen this spot for our business lunches too as it's cozy and just a great place to hang out. Can't say enough good things about the service!
