Yum! I came here with my mom and her friend. They had both eaten here before but it was my first time. I really enjoyed it! It has a diner feel that is contemporary but also old-school touches. The big red booths and sport lights remind me of a place that people young and old can come. You go up to the register, order, pay, and find a seat. They end up having someone bring your meal out to you. I LOVED my burger (pickles, tomatoes, lettuce) and fries. Very thin patties and old school french fries. Yum yum yum!

We showed up to the Oakview Smitty's for some early dinner before a movie this evening only to be greeted by a sign saying that the location had 'relocated' down to the 76th and Dodge location. There was even a moving crew there gathering up all the outside furniture. WHAT HAPPENED?!? We were there just over a week ago. This has been our go-to burger place since it opened. They were always doing a brisk business. The Oakview location was great for us as it was only a few miles from the house. We'll hit the Dodge location for sure, but not anywhere near as often as the Oakview location - which was sometimes 3 or 4 times a month. Any clues as to what happened that this location closed?

Smitty's was described to me as, "where you can have a kick a** burger and beer without dealing with a hipster crowd." I think that's a decent description... This location at Oakview was empty when I came in at 11:30 on a Tuesday. They are what I consider a half-service restaurant where you order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The atmosphere is a gear head's dream: automobile memorabilia everywhere and loud classic rock over the speakers. They even have some arcade games for the kids (or adults. Don't judge me, I love games!). I had the Sticky Fingers burger which had peanut butter and a sweet jalapeno relish. Damn, it was delicious!! The sweet and spicy flavors counter balanced each other perfectly. The side of fries were average. The bar is separate from the food counter which probably makes the line go faster but it's kind of awkward to order at two different spots. They have a decent drink list with some highlights of local beer. Overall I think I would return to Smitty's for a quick bite to eat if I'm in the neighborhood.

Five stars for the front counter staff. They were amazing and on spit. Quick, repeated back our order. Meanwhile, back at the bar. We had our little gas pump handle up 15min. Nothing. Ok h she saw it. But she was super busy but I talking to some fella with a ball cap to come behind the bar. Even though we know that is three policy. So I hauled myself up to get out drinks. I then hauled myself back back up to pay for our drinks. She needs to focus on the customer not her Honey boo.

Food was great. .they did great, we had a large family group there..they forgot two folks meals but had them made out right away. I was super happy with their service. I would have given it 5 stars but their video game was out of service. Which doesn't hinder us ever going back there. We just was expecting to be able to let the kids play on it. They have a few other games. Which were ok. If they added two more games..it would be perfect!

Meh. Part of ordering an egg on your burger is so the yolk runs down the meat and makes it buttery deliciousness. My egg was hard fried, no yolk because it was all dried up. Had garlic Parmesan truffle fries. They were bits and pieces of fries with chopped raw garlic and powdered Parmesan sprinkled on top. Husband had the chili dog. While big it was cold in the middle. Service was attentive- workers stopped 3 times at our table. That's nice! Well I tried this place. Probably not coming back real soon - just nothing special. Plenty of other better places.

There's a lot to like about Smitty's. The decor is fun. Kind of reminds me of a laid back Southern California sports bar, complete with fun decor and all kinds of random gas station/car swag amidst a bunch of giant TVs. It's the kind of place pretty much anyone will feel comfortable at. Smitty's offers a solid beer selection, with several local beers on tap, plus fun house cocktails that nod to kitschy Tiki culture of yesteryear. And the food is great. The burgers are the star of the show here and are highly customizable, right down to the type of meat for you patty. Plant-based burgers are available, too. Last, the prices are very reasonable. Their basic burger, which is 1/3 lb. ground beef, is only $5.49. McDonald's has burgers more expensive than that!

I've been here before but didn't get the review done. Awesome decor, neat experience, great service before, during after you dine. You order at the counter but they still check on you. I had a bacon double cheeseburger that was seared on the outside but juicy on the inside, perfect American cheese but the bacon sealed the deal. Crispy and great flavor. I didn't need anything else but the fries and homemade French onion dip were very good.

The burgers here are amazing. Priced very good. The fries on the other hand are greasy and gross. I wouldn't feed them to my dogs. The atmosphere here is laid back. There are TVs all over the places playing anything from sports to a kids movie. Very family oriented. The staff did a great job walking around, cleaning up and asking how the meal was. There was a bar in the restaurant.

Checked out this little gem last Friday & I must say, I was very satisfied. You stand in line, walk up to the counter, order your food, get a number, and an employee brings it out for you. I ordered the Thunder fries along with a Grilled Jalapeí±o Bacon Cheeseburger, and the boyfriend ordered the BIG G. BOTH burgers were a good size and flavorful. The burger patty itself reminded me of a Culver's Butter burger. The Thunder fries were a little greasy but that didn't stop my boyfriend and I from demolishing them. Overall, I really liked this place and def want to come back soon.

Smitty's Garage is a must-stop destination when visiting Omaha! I really enjoy everything about their locations. The interior design, staff, food, drinks, specials and their customer base are all awesome! Their menu has something for just about everyone and they have an excellent assortment of beverages to compliment their food choices. Smitty's always has a great crowd present with rarely a wait due to their excellent staff ensuring dining ready seating. I always enjoy dining there, oops, almost forgot to mention the multitude of television screens covering all the sports events! Just another reason to take the family, friends, groups, or just yourself to one of Smitty's Garages' locations to hang out and have a great time!!!

These burgers were on point, you could tell they are fresh and hand crafted, like other reviews have said for here they are not quite Stella's and not quite Dinker's but I would put them at a close 3rd which in my opinion is saying a lot. We came with a party of 4, we all ordered burgers and they were delivered to our table within 3-5 minutes of ordering, IMO maybe a little too fast, we wanted to order a couple of beers and we did not get our drinks until 10 minutes or so after getting our food, wouldn't have even noticed if the food would have taken a little longer and would have been a good chance for an up sell of another round possibly. We did have to flag someone down to pay for our drinks and the ordering process was a bit awkward and non personable, we had keno tickets filled out with money on top and the server didn't take the cards, tell us what to do to get them taken care of and took our beer order and was ghost. Not mad about it, wouldn't expect anything over the top when it comes to quick service but come on guys I just said you have a top 3 burger, you could easily be a 5 Star with a little work on service. Can't wait to go back and try some more burgers and sides, prob will skip the drinks though.

I have been patiently waiting for an opportunity to compare this place with similar places who are 'garage' burger places. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The wait wasn't long and the service was pretty good. The food quality was pretty good and overall was pleased with the cleanliness and organized delivery method. It was much better than other similar restaurants.

Delicious burgers and fries at a reasonable price. We come in any time we want a good burger. Also the fries taste very much homemade-style, which is a nice change, and you get a lot of them.
