Good band playing on Sunday night, excellent food (burgers and chicken are hard to beat) and band was very dance friendly...There is a large pavilion to si th in our td of the sun and view and fresh air are matched by goodness of food and people you meet. Will be going back here many times for sure.

Took our out of town family to surfside. Limited menu we prefer the chx. The live bands are a great weekend entertainment. However, way to loud to visit. Its fun watching the boaters the sunsets are gorgeous on the river.

I ate here years ago. A campy institution with mostly fried food. The food is sometimes good in that definitely-not-health-food kind of way. Some entrees mediocre or disappointing. However, there is an aspect to this restaurant that overrides food quality. My friend, who is black, was on this property, skipping stones on the river. He was confronted by the man who owns the land with a gun and that man shot off a "warning shot" to back up his demand that my friend leave immediately. As he was leaving my friend pulled out his camera to film the ongoing racist tirade and the man yelled "don't you F'ING pull out a F'ING gun on me". My friend said "it's not a gun, it's a camera, I'm putting you on Instagram" (which he did) and then left. The proprietors of the restaurant protected and backed up this racist. On other occasions I've had friends, a Mexican American couple, who were eye balled and mean mugged when they went there. I'm not going back. I recommend no one go there. Let it cater to white supremacists exclusively and let us hope that number is small enough to force them into retirement, a change of business or best of all, a change of heart.

Terrible food and service. It’s a long drive for terrible food. There are much better similar venues.

Terrible food, 100 better fried food options in Omaha. Service was subpar as well. Don't waste your time.
