I have been coming to surfside for forty years. I loved it as a kid and now bring my kids regularly and they love it too. Chicken, catfish and fritters are always amazing although i do miss the whole catfish side over the filets but still delish! We've been lots so far this season and this is the first time I realized that the area where patrons go to smoke is right next to where the bounce house is where the kids play. Delicious chicken, wonderful corn fritters, just regular fries, cold slaw ok. Have to order drinks separately. Sodas little pricey for the small servings you get. Great to sit by the river and eat and listen to the band.
This place was such a gem! We had some really fresh catfish that wasn’t fishy at all—just perfectly cooked. The fried chicken was well-seasoned and crispy, and everything tasted fresh. I do wish the fries had a little more seasoning, but they were still good. The fried fritters with honey took me straight back to the carnival—so good!
