I'm not gay, but when I had a 2-hour layover at the greyhound station and needed to get loaded before continuing my long journey, this bar was here for me and I will be forever grateful.

Beware if you go to The Max at closing, 130am. They will close the club and they will also demand you leave the PUBLIC sidewalk in front of the club at closing. Luckily the police were there to intervene when the club security tried to force us into the street. Beware that the club security believes they have control over public sidewalk. Hopefully the police remain there to ensure the club security no longer infringes on our rights to stand on public streets and wait for our Ubers.

Yesterday was the first time my friend and I went there. We loved the vibe and the people everyone was so nice, buying us shots and being friendly in a respectful way. The music was great too! The only thing we didn’t like was the front desk receptionist; he was a bit rude at the beginning. But overall, we had a great time!!!

So I am from Dallas Tx. Moved to Omaha for work. I enjoyed myself at the Maxx. If you never been, the Maxx has two different sides you can party on. The Hip-Hop side could be way better. They really need a new DJ on that side. Home boy was playing music from the early 2000’s. We asked could he play more updated music, it went from bad to worse. The Hip-Hop side was cleared out 20 mins before the bar closed, do to the music he was choosing to play. I’m sorry but the DJ really sucks.
