“Loses a star for service for charging a fee to use a credit card, otherwise service was prompt. Historically, businesses built swipe fees into their pricing, which is how it should be. Instead, businesses are starting to charge a 3%+ fee to use a credit card and profiting off the fees because the average swipe fee is less than 2% so that extra percent or so is pure profit.

Otherwise, not a bad little bar although it was hot inside. I ordered the French dip with tator tots and asked for extra meat and they delivered. The sandwich itself was delicious and the tator tots were, well, tator tots. Ordered a long island and it was ok, not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst.“

My Salty Dog had a generous pour and tasted exactly like I remembered a Salty Dog should! 🍹 The Reuben was delicious with a generous portion size, and we were also able to share the wings and fish & chips. Everything was flavorful, and there was plenty to go around.

“Stumbled upon this place when they were having a punk rock flea market. I don't think they'd be offended by me calling it a dive bar? But I was blown away by how inclusive and cool the vibe was there. The bartender was a sweetheart, and the rest of the clientele was friendly without being pushy. And the drinks were cheap too. “We were in the area taking care of HVAC repairs for a customer and had a little time between calls, so we decided to stop in at Paddy McGown’s for lunch and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. It was the perfect spot to recharge before heading back out for the day. “It's a bar but a cozy bar if that makes sense..the bar tender was very friendly and welcoming. The food is tasty and very affordable. I had the Grant St Nachos 1/2 order and it was still a lot of food. My husband ordered the peanut butter burger and the meat patty was thick. Overall it was a good 1st time experience.“

I believe possibly the day manager waited on us while the other waiters truly hussled through the other orders when what I believe was a substantial lunch crowd hit right at opening! Take my word for it-do the hummus tray! Pesto and sundried tomato hummus was unreal-so good! My husband had the Swiss mushroom burger with the up charged sweet potato fries which was so worth it! “Visited with my work colleagues for lunch at their recommendation. Not a place I would typically go to, since it has that kind of dive bar look and feel to it, which is totally cool!

It was a bit dark upon entering, again Kind of that dive bar vibe, but the sitting area looked clean and organized. Our waitress was super personable as well.

I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger, which was really tasty. It was done nicely in terms of being cooked and had good seasoning. I substituted the chips for the sweet potato fries and they tasted good as well, but the serving portion could have been a little bit more for being an upgrade.

All of my co-workers said they enjoyed their meals as well. Overall, I'm glad we went. Definitely worth a try if you have not been before.“
