“That looks delicious ? I was in on saturday the 21st 2023 my son kept telling my mom you have to try this place so him and I did on sat. I am a big soup snob I love soup it's one of my favorite things to eat. I got the beef brisket tex mex soup and I WAS BLOWN AWAY! This was the best soup I have ever had! I wish i could order it by the gallon. I also had the bang bang chicken sandwich The very first thing I noticed is that the sandwich looked exactly like it does in the picture...absolutely beautiful the presentation was so impressive. I have never ever been anywhere where the food comes out looking the way it is advertised. This sandwich was amazing! The fries were perfectly done and everything was hot. I cannot rave enough on how delish this meal was it is now my go to place .The service was great very friendly people I can honestly say that this is the best resteraunt I have ever been to and I cannot wait to go back“

“This was the best restaurant from our vacation to the Omaha area. It started with walking in and immediately being greeted with menus. The food was phenomenal but the customer service was even better (if that’s possible). We were so pleased with the family owned business and chatting with the owner. I loved how she came and talked to every table that was here. My son and boyfriend highly recommend the brisket.“

“If you haven’t been to Smokin Barrel BBQ in Omaha yet, you’re missing out on some of the best barbecue in the city. Everything is cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and smoky in all the right ways. But the real star of my visit was John H. on the carving station. The guy is a master with the knife, slicing brisket like it’s an art form and serving it with a big smile. You can tell he takes pride in every single cut. Friendly, fast, and passionate about what he does. This is the kind of service and quality that will keep me coming back. Highly recommend!“

“I had never had Porky Butts but had heard great things and decided to go with them for our wedding catering. BEST DECISION! We did the sliced brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and green beans. We had guests coming up to us all night telling us how great the food was and asking where it was from. We ended up with la few less guests showing up and at the end of the night people were stacking up to-go plates to take home the leftovers.“

“Pulled pork is amazingly delicious! Mac and cheese is better than my mom's, but don't tell her I said this. BBQ sauce perfect! I also got my mom the half slab of ribs dinner. She absolutely loved her meal. I got a to go order Superbowl afternoon and the staff was spot on! I'll be back to try your brisket!“

“The food is always good. Today at lunch time they were short staffed. Waited 10 min to be taken to a table. Waited 10 min for the order to be taken and 25 min for the food. Based on today really don’t know if I will go back. The employees were very courteous,“

“Stopped in on a whim, lived here 33 years and this was my first visit. It will definitely not be the last. I bought Wisconsin brats and sausage links and I found English bangers and Portuguese Lunguica! Absolutely outstanding! The customer service was fantastic and very personable.“

“We always get the spicy shrimp as the appetizer. It is awesome! The food was great (& we got there around 5), but the service was not great. We were not done with the appetizer before the salad came. We were still eating the appetizer when the entree came. I asked what they consider medium on doneness on a steak. We were told : "warm pink center". I cut into my steak & it was bloody. I sent it back for more cooking. That was taking longer than expected, so I ate the salad. ( strawberry salad is awesome!) When the steak was brought back, I just took it home.
I had ordered soda for my drink, hubby had flavored lemonade. I still had a lot left in my glass & the waitress brought me another glass of soda. Hubby ran out of lemonade & waitress was not coming around. I told him he could have some of my soda. He put his straw in my new glass of soda & then the waitress shows up with another glass of soda & a lemonade. We never drank any of the 2nd & 3rd soda. Had the waitress asked if I wanted another soda, I would have declined the offer.

“Had lunch at Smoking Jays the other day while I was in Omaha & it was seriously delicious bbq!! I got the sample platter- my favorites were the potatoes, brisket, & the wing!! But it was all really good! Will definitely be back!“

“Really good pizza! When I arrived, they said that due to system issues, my order got lost. However, they offered to refund me and still make my pizzas. I didn't accept a refund, but that is indicative of great service, and the food was awesome.“

“I did takeout tonight. They were extremely busy, proms are tonight. I was quoted a time and I checked on my order 35-40 minutes after my promised time, order would be be ready within 5-10 minutes. No biggie, had a great time talking with customers waiting for tables so time was going by fast. The manager in the take out area was AMAZING and so sweet and kind, as were the rest of the staff in that area. I didn’t catch her name, but you ROCK! And thank you for my meal.“
“I met this incredible guy and his wife at Hy-Vee, while buying patio furniture that was 75% off. He gave me a complimentary bottle of BBQ sauce and asked me to try it. And when I tell you that it was the BEST gift ever, it was!! I HIGHLY recommend this sauce. The compliments that I get on my chicken and ribs because of this sauce is incredible. I happily give Earnie rave reviews and recommendations. This sauce is EVERYTHING! Thanks Unc!!“

“Best local bar that stays open til 2 am. Bartenders are all on point. One in particular is my fave, but I can’t say who, because that will make all the other girl bartenders Jealous. Oh screw it, it’s Hannah. Or is it Hanna? Either way, she’s Ms. New Booty.

“My wife, son, and myself were in Omaha for the weekend. By sheer happenstance, we received a tip from a gal in our home town 5 hours away. So glad we stopped. Hands down one of the best pizzas we've ever had. Courteous staff, prep/cook time was fast, and great prices. 10 out of 10 would recommend.“
