“I love Martini's & this place was on my list for my bday on 12/15 - yes I know its not open on Sun, so my plan was to go on Sat the 14th. Weather interfered w ice storm on Fri 13th, so Sat night was super packed & i wasn't able to even get in....no biggie, went to Roxxy n had a blast! Fast forward to my bff coming out from NY n here for Christmas n we decided to go out on 12/28 n try again & yay we were able to finally get in! The place is so elegant n beautiful & has a very classy comfortable feeling to it - I knew I would 💜 it! At the bar talking about my quest n fail of trying to come here for my bday a few weeks ago, sitting next to me was the bar manager Carmen - she said she'd buy me a shot n I was like "oh cool", I never saw it so thought she was just being nice n a totally forgot n I thought 'its ok, no biggie"....then I go to pay my bill & turns out she picked up my 1st round of drinks - so extremely super sweet of her & I appreciated that n her so much. “This is the best bar in Omaha, which makes it the best bar in an approximate 600 mile radius. All the bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable, to the extent that they all have their own custom cocktails on the menu. I have never had a more personable experience in the service industry, either. I could come here on any given day and find something here or even in myself that I didn't have the day before. “Old Mill is not my typical kind of place. I met a group of friends there to watch the Nebraska game. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a smash burger on the menu. I made mine a double. I wish I had taken a picture of it. It is A Lot of Burger!!! So good...and the fries, I've never had any like them, thin and crispy but not dry, and the seasoning is perfect. I'll probably come back just for the burger!“

The name, Fizzy’s Fountain and Liquors may lead one to believe that this establishment is primarily for imbibery. Although food is not explicitly mentioned in the name, like a sunrise peaking out of the morning clouds it emerges. Understated, beautiful, and delicious. The ability to call up and order from your table/booth creates a confortable dining experience that allows you to go at your own pace (and order more). The first time I drank at the Interlude, I was a wee lad of 21 back in the year 2000, I only make it to this fine place every few years, but the only thing that had changed is the style of TV. If only they had the giant square bricks still it would be perfect.“

“Our first trip to Gather couldn’t have gone better. The host, Steve was super accommodating in seating us. I appreciated the table farther away from the majority of the business as it was quieter and more intimate. Our waitress, Cathleen was extremely helpful and super friendly, even giving our oldest daughter individualized attention without being annoying like a lot of servers are when we are trying to enjoy a night out as a family. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll ever eat them without cranberries again; who would have known. They added such a pop of brightness to the dish. My wife had the pad Thai and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Wagyu flat iron with Chimichurri, and where so many restaurants fail, they succeeded in having a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly acidic and provided a welcomed heat to the dish. Loved the elote corn which was kept warm the entire meal having been served in its own skillet. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which was very good, and even the chicken strips we ordered for our daughter was a shelf above any other restaurant. My daughter loved the donut holes and the birthday cake they prepared, although simple, was surprisingly delicious. They even do the simple things well! By far, the best dessert was the Strawberry-Basil sorbet; such a fresh and delightful way to end the meal. One of the things that stuck out to me most was the attention we got from the manager, Tony. Most of the time you see managers walking around, it feels like they are just “doing their job,” but this guy was bringing food out to customers, checking in with tables, assisting in any way he could, and genuinely looked liked he loved being there. He checked on a few questions we had about the food and he also gave special attention to our daughter which definitely elevated her experience. The service, food, atmosphere and getting to see their Hydroponic garden make this a must visit! Will definitely be back.“
