“We were privileged to attend a plated dinner with wine pairings and I must say I was impressed. The setting is peaceful, the food was delicious and the wine pairings were simply perfect. The live music added to the ambiance and the staff and owners were very attentive and made sure to personally ask how our experience was and listened to our positive comments. Be prepared for a small section of gravel road to reach the venue and parking was a little tricky on the grass after the rain but we will definely be coming back for another date night.”

“My very first visit on the evening of March 18, 2024 was just for takeout since my sister could not join me for a sit down dinner at this Restaurant. I ordered three Entrees. I have eaten only one entree as of last night, the Lamb Shank on Rice. It was excellent. The meat was very tender and not dry or overcooked. The taste was delicious. I’m looking forward to partaking of the next Entree today. The Owner’s son was very pleasant and quite helpful on the phone. Unfortunately, they only had 2 brochures about their menu & locations, etc. I was hoping to share the info with others. Good place to eat, good variety, tasty food. Chicken fried steak, gravy, pancakes, eggs,Parking: Apparently the virtually always empty coin car wash has problems with people parking from Penelope's as there are lots of we tow signs in the common lot and a warning on Penelope's door about the towing.”

We ventured and found Hallam Steakhouse, we did not call ahead to reserve a table, however, a short wait with drinks at the bar and very friendly and funny bartender! The wait for a table was minimal, less than 20 minutes, and a couple of hostess announced celebrations that included the whole steakhouse crowd to join in singing Happy Birthday and a round of applause for another couple celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary! The interactive friendly staff was fun and kept the mood light amongst all patrons! Classic cheese balls appetizer with ranch and marinara! 12 and 16 oz Ribeye Steaks with mushrooms, chicken fried steak and grilled chicken with bacon were out table choices! Including a trip to the salad bar with potato salad, pea salad, pickled beets, and all the salad toppings! The GOOD HOMEMADE ranch! Our waitress team kept our drinks full and brought ice water promptly, checking on our table often with a smile! The staff took the time to listen and we could tell the waitresses, bartended and hostess/manager enjoy their work and wanted to be there! We will be back for another adventure!
