Jayden is absolutely fantastic. Every single time I come in, he has the biggest, most genuine smile on his face. It really brightens up the whole place! “BEST IN LINCOLN. Routine breakfast customer and never disappointed. Relaxing atmosphere with nostalgic decor and no blaring music or televisions nobody watches. Eaten all the breakfast places in Lincoln over the years, this is one of the best and the prices are very reasonable. Always busy so that should tell you something.”

“I found myself in Lincoln Nebraska at the end of a long day recently. I was parked on the side of the street and looked around to see where I could eat before a 3 hour drive to my next destination when I saw Honest Abe's burgers just across the street from where I was parked. Of COURSE I had to go try it and I was not disappointed. My burger and fries were fresh and delicious and the ladies working there were friendly. The signs, artwork, and general decor were fun - especially to me!”

It's the large stuffed crust Chicago style pizza so you can also justify spending more because it's going to give me at least 4 meals. “I'm not a coffee snob, I usually buy the cheapest store brands and then have to add so much it really isn't coffee. I decided to buy some ground coffee from TCS and was I ever surprised. It is wonderful. I could tell the difference immediately. I just had to add a tablespoon of cream and nothing else. Drinking this coffee is a treat.”

“Amazing food, everything on the menu is a treat and surprising varieties of typical drinks like flavored mules. Seating can be a little tight when busy but there's patio seating if needed. Service was extremely fast, food was in the blink of an eye, and my female friend was convinced the waitress wanted my number but I'm a gentleman.”

“We came here for dinner for the first time with our picky 7 year old, and not only did he LOVE everything he ate, we loved our dishes too! I had a bento which was a great way to try many different menu options. My husband had salmon teriyaki with fried rice. The portions were super-Nebraska-sized huge and delicious. Special thanks goes to our server, Jemma. She was poised, professional and friendly. She went above and beyond with customer service.”

“The interior of Sakura is absolutely beautiful, elegant, modern, and welcoming with a calming atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, providing excellent service from start to finish.

The sake selection is superb. I highly recommend the Juneau Ginjo sake.

Unfortunately, the food portions were noticeably smaller than expected which was a bit disappointing. The flavors were solid, but I left still feeling a little hungry. Great for a nice date night or special occasion if you're not ravenous, but maybe not ideal for a big appetite. I'd still return for the ambiance and service!”

“I phoned a week before the date we wanted to make reservation. Trevor was very nice and said I could reserve a long table for up to 15 guests. I verified number of guests and called a couple days before arriving on the 24th to confirm the number attending. We were very impressed with Trevor and the quality of food was outstanding.. I had the beer macaroni and cheese and loved it. A couple people had Rueben's and were equally impressed. Burgers and chicken strips were large. I was impressed with nice side salad. The salmon was beautifully plated too. Highly recommend coming to the Mettle Grill. You will not be disappointed The only downside was the chairs were very heavy and if you put gliders on chair legs it would make it easier for an older group to move the chairs. Trevor was very pleasant and efficient. Will definitely return.”

“Found a bug on our sandwich plate (not one that happened to just fly there) after we had finished eating. Manager came over to investigate after I showed the waitress. It was still alive, so she squashed it with her finger & said she could give us a discount. No apologies, just -$3.50 taken off. I’m sure because we had already eaten the sandwich. But, everything tasted good and the waitress was good.”
