“We’ve driven by Almost There many times. The parking lot is always packed. But to our surprise they had more than ample seating inside and out. We opted for the Thursday special of fish & chips, which was lightly breaded Yankee style haddock. Two fish & chips for $23.99 (regular price $17.99 each) From the time we walked in and had no waiting (at 630pm) to our amazing service. The food was definitely delicious. Yes great seafood in the mountains 😊. Since it is just 40 minutes (pretty much normal timing) to this restaurant we will definitely be back to try out much more of their menu.”

“I don’t know where to begin. The atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant was old Irish vibes and they had a live Irish folk band sitting around a table playing. The waitress was spectacular. Knowledgable of the menu and beer list and wonderful at letting us know when orders were placed and delivery. The food was probably the best Irish cuisine I’ve had to this date. The trio sampler of Shepard’s Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, and Beef Stew were all flavorful. My girlfriends grilled peach and goat cheese salad was so full of flavors and the bacon and walnuts gave it a good crunch, my moms Ruben and butternut squash were amazing and I had the corned beef and cabbage. All were out of this world. Can’t say enough good things.”

“Underground Bakery & Cafe was a recent find and will be a daily stop while we’re on vacation! The iced coffee is amazing and has coffee iced cubes so it doesn’t get watery. They have homemade pastries and treats, we tried the ring ding and salted caramel cake which were both 10/10. I highly recommend this local gem!”

I got the chimmchurri steak tacos and my wife got the cheesy corned beef tots. Some of the best food I've had period. It is all super fresh and the portions are more than expected. 10 out of 10 will eat here again next year when we come back!”

“Julie and the batter up team are absolutely incredible. We ordered a 2 tier cake with 2 different flavors chocolate chunk cookies and whoopie pies. Everyone was raving about all of the above. They have the best little shop and they are consistently serving up the best eats from desserts to lunch to delicious breakfast sandwiches. We love visiting them when we are in the area. “I had to come here and post a story that happened to a couple buddies and I a few years ago and how helpful muddy moose is . We were out fishing over the long weekend in may, it’s later in the evening and my one buddy says man wouldn’t it be cool to get a poutine ? Of course we all agree so we bust a phone out in the boat, search muddy moose up quick and hit dial not really paying much attention to it . Anyhow some very nice lady answers and we ask if they are still open to which she replies “ yes we are for another 30 min” . Well we’re like game on ! So we ask for three poutines to which the kind lady replies “ what’s a poutine “ answering her question kind of scratching our heads? How could you not know what this is ? Anyhow I’m sure we sounded hick with the frogs, boat motor, and three Canadians chirping each other through the call. She says oh yes we can make that for you and can have it in a bag for when you get here . Well now we are racing across a lake , jumping in a truck , racing down a muddy back road , down the highway , and yes we had about it two minutes to spare when we got to the Moose . When I ran in the door asking for our order a friend of ours is like “ uh dudes the grill has been closed for an hour” ??? We called the wrong muddy moose …. 🫎 we called you guys 1500km away . Woops . We ended up calling back after realizing our mistake , boy did we laugh , the lady couldn’t stop laughing either . We offered to pay over the phone but the lady said it was an honest mistake and a funny one and that she would offer up the poutines for a couple guests in the store . Good times . When I can get down there on my bike I plan on planning a stop just to order a meal .”

Food is mediocre at best, very unbalanced, the dishes were either too salty or drowning in cheese.
Chicken parm comes with a thick cheese layer on top which is really not adding to the dish.
Not a lot of Italian options in the area unfortunately.”
