“Came in crowded every waitress was smiling. Very upbeat lunch and breakfast only though. Ordered the "Let's hash it out" choice of house made hash or canned. Who would order that is beyond me. But when it came out amazing. It was a dream in my mouth. It was as good as any deli in New York. This is a must eat place.”

Being originally from NH and missing great seafood what a treat this place was. First off, the fish chowder. Absolutely the best I've had. So fresh, so flavorful and so damn good. 10 out of 10!!! The whole belly fried clams were perfection, so fresh, perfectly fried and so delicious!!! And the onion rings, home made and perfectly fried. And the home made lemon pie was to die for, made by our terrific server, Kathy, who was also terrific. Damn what a great meal!!!”

“We stopped in because it’s hard finding seafood in the area in the winter season. The restaurant looks really cool with all the ocean decor! We ordered 3 captains platters and some clam chowder! The sea food was fantastic for the price! The only thing that I disliked was the clam chowder! It was really watery, cold and unseasoned. Other than that we all loved the seafood! It’s really impressive for being nowhere near the ocean! We will definitely be returning!”

“I love all of their wines no matter what I try. I drove all the way from Connecticut to get cases of these wines for the holidays and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely take the 4 hour drive again for these!”

“Max's Restaurant is the perfect combination of cozy and elegant, tucked away off the beaten path in the charming town of Eaton. As guests who typically stay right at Snowvillage Inn, it's so nice to be able to just walk downstairs to dinner, especially on those colder New Hampshire winter nights. From the servers to Darlene (the bartender) to owners Jennifer and Kevin, everyone at Max's is so hospitable and make you feel right at home. On my most recent stay at Snowvillage, we made a reservation at Max's on Friday night and planned on going out and exploring somewhere else in town for Saturday but we loved our meal so much, we ended up staying in both nights! On both nights we started with the ahi tuna nachos which were the perfect shareable appetizer. Night 1, I ordered the seared scallops which were perfectly cooked and were served over a parsnip puree and finished with a pomegranate molasses. So delicious, I could have licked the plate! And the salmon roe on top added a nice salty touch. Probably my favorite dish of the weekend! Night 2, I opted for the catch of the day, a delicious Asian-style halibut topped with seaweed and roasted garlicky mushrooms served over a bed of japonica rice. So flavorful! Don't skip out on dessert too! The flourless chocolate torte and New York style cheesecake were both the perfect sweet endings to a wonderful meal. We can't wait to return again very soon!”

I tried a sour beer with blueberry. The beer a definite sour but, could appreciate the blueberry flavor. Had a piece of cake to go. Lemon Ricotta Cake. Liked the cake but, was a little dry. Over all had a great time and would go again.”

“Three words: maple ice cream. This was a yummy stop on our way to the mountains. The maple ice cream is definitely itself the main attraction and rightfully so! A must-do if you're in the area or even if you're not.”

“I was hearing great things about this place so gave it a try. my wife and I went absolutely wonderful. service was a 10 and the local people made you feel right at home including you in there conversations bartenders make amazing drinks. the menu is not huge but they have a little bit of everything food was great. but most of all wonderful friendly bartenders,staff and locals. Throughout the planning process, Leslie went above and beyond to help us plan everything and was always responsive. She made it easy to cater for our guests dietary restrictions, and everyone has raved about how great the food was. She was flexible and accommodating when we had to make last minute changes, and throughout the day she was able to problem-solve before any issues even got brought to me which was so appreciated. Leslie helped coordinate everything absolutely perfectly and the day would not have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren’t for her and her team. We can’t thank them enough and will absolutely be recommending them to anyone we know needing catering for future events!”

“We stopped at OHOP on our way back home and I will say the pizza is great for the area. I recommend ordering it well done. The prices are a bit high in my opinion compared to other pizza restaurants but in that area they are few and far between”

“We got large pies for take out the other day - cheese, meat lovers, chicken Bacon ranch and a BBQ chicken. Oh, and some onion rings ?The BBQ needed some red onion in my opinion, but overall these were some tasty pizzas! The cheese was my favorite, and the rest of the fam LOVED the chicken bacon ranch. We usually order elsewhere because it's closer to us, but they are closed on Mondays, so we drove a bit and got White Lake. Will definitely order again! Wish I got a couple pics - the cheese pizza even LOOKED bomb ?”
