Every time we come here the service at the bar is terrible. The female bartender is the worst, if she not on her phone she talking to the customers she knows while dividing her time between the restaurant customers ordering a drink and the bar customers. Be prepared to sit and wait for 20 mins before you get any service. Common man come on you need more than 1 bartender to cover restaurant and bar orders.

A must visit if you are in Claremont! Parking behind the restaurant, some in front if not signed for other businesses, & a whole bunch to the left of the restaurant/hotel.

Drinks took over 1/2 hour to get, that includes the kids water. Our dinners took close to an hour and that was after asking for manager. Baked potatoes were room temperature, my beef tenderloins were cool and chewy. Manager said they had over 100 door dash orders come in
I'm sorry but you should take care of in house customers first. Restaurant was recommended but never again. Manager comped our meals but it was not enjoyable.

Parking: Parking is horrible, need to park in a lot with no lighting

Was there last nite and it was one problem after another. Have been here many times and loved it, last nite, not so much. Waited for 20-30 min for waiter to acknowledge us. The waited much longer than that for our food. We were here in June and had an amazing meal. But everything was off last nite. The manager did comp one of our meals, which was very nice. There were far too many problems to write here but some were meal was missing baked poatoes, steak tips so tough you couldn’t cut them never mind chew them. Rolls and bread were dried out and hard. Just all around bad experience. My friends will not go back. I might try again hoping it was just a bad nite for them. Restaurant was not over crowded don’t understand.

Dietary restrictions: GF menu all its own but waiter didn’t seem to understand that.

The menu has changed since I was here last. Saturday night and had my heart and stomach set on Prime rib. Was sad to hear you don't have it anymore. If the pricing has gone the way seafood has its understandable. It is an expensive cut of meat. But I missed it.
Our waitress, Quinlan, was a delight. Inquiring without imposing. Letting us know kitchen behind a bit. Pleasant and appearing to like her job.
Its been awhile between visits but we will be back.

I went here on Saturday and sat in Ashlyn’s section, witnessed a group sitting next to the glass doors making obscene gestures towards their server and being overall very rude towards her. Which really ruined the experience for me and my family. I came in again on Wednesday to find out she is no longer is working for the Common Man. I am disappointed to find this out and will no longer be dining at The Common Man in Claremont after finding out this information.

I can't begin to say enough good about this place. We have been coming here for years and the food and drinks are always to perfection. The waitstaff is always attentive, polite and kind to a fault. My reason for writing is on a recent visit to treat my son and dauter in-law who were visiting from Missouri. I also am going through chemotherapy for cancer. Long story short, because of that they comped our entire meal except for drinks. I have never experienced anything so profoundly touching and this place is the top of the list for dining out. Thanks to your entire staff and may you all be blessed as you have blessed me.

The restaurant is top-notch. Wonderful atmosphere, great staff, and the food is amazing. They have little lounge areas with games if you want to go a chill for a few hours with a friend, or you can have dinner next to a window overlooking beautiful waterfront seanory. The food is just wonderful, and even though I live close by, I'm considering staying at their Inn, just so I can relax and hang out for the day. (They have a beautiful outdoor area).

The food was good, specially the "almost escargot" (one of he very few vegetarian options), although I thought the sesame tuna I ordered could have come with some kind sauce. What I was really disappointed with was that we couldn't use the tables outside, since that beautiful patio was the reason why we decided to go there. It's a pity that a restaurant with such a privileged location wouldn't let their customers enjoy the virw and sit outside, specially on a beautiful warm evening.

I wish I could rate this restaurant 10 stars! After having had takeout here a few times (and loving it) we decided to stop in, and it was even better! Everything from the atmosphere, to the drinks, food, and small touches like the receipt coming in a book made it an amazing experience! They really go above and beyond, the manager stopped by to say hello and they even have a self serve cheese bar. 10 stars all the way around!!
