This historic, local restaurant has an extensive menu. Food is scratch-made, served hot and fresh. Daily specials for soup and entree. Tables for a big crew or just two. Limited staff, yet we were eating in no time. Just one threshold to step over from the paved sidewalk; nicely accessible. Adorable, tiny bathroom. Parking on street was no problem.
Popped in for lunch with my buddy and his mother. The restaurant was a ghost town. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap ($13) that was pretty good. Mainly buffalo chicken cut up inside the wrap but also lettuce and possibly some blue cheese. The chips and pickle on the side were good too. I also ordered a large garden salad ($9) that was decent. It's been a while since I have been to The Wilderness, and I am so glad I stopped in!! So fresh and clean, super friendly staff and the food was fresh and delicious. Had eggs Bedict- on the most awesome homemade English muffin. Will ABSOLUTELY go back! Great job to the new owners. They obviously love the place and bring new life to this classic.
