Staff is helpful, very knowledgeable and usually kind. Tried the Cafe for first time today and wow such good sandwiches and reasonable too! I try to go here as often as I can.“

“Passed this place 100 times and finally had time to stop in for breakfast.I planned on getting a breakfast bagel or burrito at first, but when I saw they had a special breakfast bowl on offer I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I asked for it to go, which was probably a bit of a pain container wise, but the workers running the show had no problem and made it happen for me.I went on a short walk around the town while they made it, probably only 10-15 minutes when they also had about 10 other customers so excellent timing even when it's pretty busy inside. I'd probably order ahead next time to make it a bit easier on them as it's quite small inside and the kitchen also looks to be very small.The staff was awesome and very accommodating, the person at the counter made my green tea SUPER hot which I personally love and made sure to double cup it so I wouldn't have an issues holding it. A nice attention to detail that goes a long way with people I think.Can't wait to go back because my bowl was shockingly good, I expected your average run of the mill greasy breakfast meat with decently done eggs and some mushy veggies and was 100% wrong. They used awesome fresh crispy peppers, spinach (could have been kale), onions, potatoes which were a mix of sweet and gold and sausage. I got my eggs sunny side up and they were flawless, whoever works the grill nailed it.“
“I was given a special tasty treat today visiting Laney & Lu for the first time. This is an amazing place, very spacious with an outdoor patio, very neat and clean, plenty of parking (which is an anomaly for Portsmouth), excellent customer service and the food is delicious and divine! This is perfect combination if you want to relax and sit in and dine and or or if you want to eat quick and go but want something healthy, nourishing with high quality ingredients and taste. I had the best egg sandwich of my life, a Biscuit & Gravy Organic egg over easy with cashew mushroom gravy, walnut chorizo, spinach, micro-greens, scallion, served on gluten-free sweet potato biscuit. It was flavorful and fresh. In addition, they have an assortment of tasty and fresh pastries, designer coffee, espresso drinks and herbal teas. I had a "Macro" doughnut which was delightfully sweet, moist on the inside with a lustrous coat of sweet maple walnut glaze on the outside. I had the tea with Ashwaganda, gingko, lavender, tulsi, schisandra berries and it cleared my sinuses. Happy to have found this place, I am definitely coming back to try the rest of their menu.“

“I got a Beetox and my gf got a Green Light. Both were really good. We ordered online and it was quick and easy to pickup my order. The staff was friendly. I'll probably go back to their espresso smoothie. I like that you can really customize your smoothie ingredients on their website“
“On a cold weekday, I decided to head to the Soupery to satiate a craving for chicken noodle. The location is wonderfully walkable if you work in downtown Portsmouth. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful when they ran out of the full amount of one ordered soup. My officemate and I traded bites and all the kinds we ordered were delicious and had that great homemade quality. Not much to say about ambiance because there's an ordering window and that's it! You won't have to stand in the cold long!“

Did it all with a smile. News was well received by most (including myself). Chicken curry sandwich was the best I’ve had there. The Granny Smith apple slices provide a tart and bright crunch to contrast the savory and flavorful (not spicy) curry chicken salad. The focaccia bread was the icing on the cake.
