“My wife and I were in the area. Stopped for a late breakfast. Spacious, clean and friendly. Decor was local, natural and fun. Loved the light covers that appeared to be blue sky with occasional puffy clouds. Nice touch. Our server was amazing. Im not sure how her name is spelled but I think it was close to Ava (ah-va). Super friendly, good humor, very attentive. I did not have to ask for any of my 3 coffee refills. :) but not overly aggressive. I love dipping my toast in over easy eggs. First bite was noticeably good. I know you think eggs are eggs but my wife got scrambled and had the same reaction. Yum. Toast was hot and crispy. Bacon thick cut and crispy not burned. Average sausage patty. Thin ham with crispy edge was a nice difference. French toast was thick buttery with a healthy cinnamon taste. Home fries crispy with a light seasoning. And hollandaise was thick not oily. Prices were competitive not the cheapest but certainly not to expensive. GREAT breakfast :)“

We should have left when we walked in and noticed that one of the waitresses had her shirt rolled up and tucked under like a belly shirt and had booty shorts on as that's very unprofessional. The prices are also extremely high for a breakfast diner. So we ended up paying over 25.00 a person for unedible food that we barely touched. “Ca.e here for lunch with a buddy who moved into the area. Started off with the eggrolls which were the Rueben. Great start. Super flaky and crispy and Kickstarted your appetite. I order the filet and lobster ravioli. Super creamy and well-seasoned. My friends got the fish and chips which was a nice thin crispy crust and the shrimp and scallop risotto which is made with a sweet potato cream. 10/10 will beed to come back and try things off their new seasonal menu“

“Have dined here a couple times and the food was delicious, great service and cozy atmosphere. When it came time to need to host a private event here I couldn't be happier with how Kate and her team handled everything. Kate cares and it showed from our first conversation, during the meeting to plan, communication in between and wrapping things up after the event. Her staff working the event were also very friendly, efficient and kept things running smoothly. You can absolutely trust her and her team to handle your event. Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the Railpenny Tavern that day and wanted to come back. We couldn't be happier with how our everything turned out. Thank you Kate and team! ☹️after i got home from my 70 minute ride home with my two super beefs, i was bummed out to find no James River sauce on either of my sandwiches. I also paid extra for my request of extra sauce on side and didnt get that either. It wont stop me from going back. But it will make me check my order before leaving.“

Today we had Crab Rangoon, eggroll, happy family, House Special lo mein and hot and sour soup. Everything was as delicious as always the portions are very generous.
