“The Gilmanton Pub is a 33-seat restaurant that is three years old with a loyal following of patrons from Gilmanton and surrounding towns. Located in the center of the Gilmanton Historic District, "The Tavern" is an elegantly restored 14-room, 18th Century Colonial that served as an important way station for 18th Century travelers. Over the last month, the Pub has made awewsome changes in staff, menu, live music entertainment, and prices. For example, prices have undergone a significant reduction - nearly every food or beverage has been reduced from 12%-to-36%. Every appetizer, salad, dessert, and entrée has seen their prices lowered. The Lobster Ravioli is now $24, reduced from $35, a 34% reduction. Even pizzas have seen their prices cut. An 18-inch pizza is $11, down 15% from $13. Beverages have undergone similar cuts. A $14 glass of Dewars is now $9, a 36% drop. A "heavy pour" of J. Lohr Chardonnay is down from $13 to $9, a drop of 31%.The food is excellent and the atmosphere is quintessential old school New England. Check out the live music and the fire pit!“

“We recently had a luncheon reception at Fratello's following my Dad's funeral service. Christine and her staff just started offering this service and we couldn't have been happier. The buffet was excellent and we had the entire place to ourselves. It was a very nice, bright and comfortable setting for family and friends to unwind and relax. “In my opinion best pizza joint in the area, I grew up going here the pizzas on point the staffs amazing and even remembered my name their that good over there, and if you go into place an order the guys and gals over at the tap are great too if your sitting waiting on your food I occasionally go and grab a drink while i wait and i wouldn’t trade it for any other spot. Unfortunately i just moved so i wont be getting to see these wonderful ppl anymore but ILL BE BACK! :)“

“Went here on Saturday with the wife for karaoke. The atmosphere and crowd ranged in ages from 20s-70s. Everyone was super friendly and appeared to be having a good time (kinda rare in NH). We didn’t know anyone there even though we’re locals but felt very welcomed and comfortable. The karaoke lady was fun and friendly. The bartenders were exceptionally good - I never had to ask for another drink and they were seemingly standing in front of me with a genuine smile and asking us proactively if we wanted another. The bartenders were having as much fun as us it seemed. No drama, complaining or waiting - all signs of a good bar staff. The owner was there somewhat covertly and I had a few good conversations with him and eventually figured out he owned the place. He wasn’t overtly playing up his status at the bar or micro managing his staff - another rarity for a bar like this. At the end of night he personally invited us to come back to his bar, something I’ve never heard in my decades of working and visiting bars. A+ grade from us. Nikki and I will be back.“

“This is a good place for getting take out. I like their spaghetti and meatballs. I'm not a huge fan of their pizza but to be honest I'm very fussy about my pizza I prefer thin crust and they do not have a thin crust as far as I know. But their desserts are really good the staff is always really friendly and smiling and it's just a fun place to go and hang out for a few minutes while you wait for your food to get ready“

“Stopped in and ordered an Italian sub (toasted) and a bag of chips. Everyone was so friendly, the owner was behind me stocking the drinks and making small talk. Great service and really great seeing people take pride in their business. I brought the sub home and it was delicious. Exactly what I was craving.Keep up the good work!“

“Came here to try the brunch, was skeptical but it was totally worth it! The bartender Dana makes an amazing Bloody Mary and went off menu to make me a chocolate martini that was delicious. Avocado toast is something I’ll be craving for awhile def came for the food but will certainly be back to try everything else !“

“Okay so I can't rank atmosphere as I only do take out. When this place is on point there food is top notch. Can not beat it anywhere. However Everyone local knows this so if you do take out except a long weight. Also sometimes the phone just rings and rings. Not sure why.“
