“The Gilmanton Pub is a 33-seat restaurant that is three years old with a loyal following of patrons from Gilmanton and surrounding towns. Located in the center of the Gilmanton Historic District, "The Tavern" is an elegantly restored 14-room, 18th Century Colonial that served as an important way station for 18th Century travelers. Over the last month, the Pub has made awewsome changes in staff, menu, live music entertainment, and prices. For example, prices have undergone a significant reduction - nearly every food or beverage has been reduced from 12%-to-36%. Every appetizer, salad, dessert, and entrée has seen their prices lowered. The Lobster Ravioli is now $24, reduced from $35, a 34% reduction. Even pizzas have seen their prices cut. An 18-inch pizza is $11, down 15% from $13. Beverages have undergone similar cuts. A $14 glass of Dewars is now $9, a 36% drop. A "heavy pour" of J. Lohr Chardonnay is down from $13 to $9, a drop of 31%.The food is excellent and the atmosphere is quintessential old school New England. Check out the live music and the fire pit!”
“awesome atmosphere and friendly service. Food was absolutely delicious. The only regret i have is all this time i wasted at other places and yesterday was my first time discovering The Natural Pickle. I am a picky eater too and there were so many choices that caught my eye. definitely be back!”
“Outside seating only, very pet friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Lot is very flat no problems with accessibility, unless they are overly busy than handicap parking is very limited”
“Stopped In Here For Breakfast, With Recommendation From the Sunday Desk at the Margate Resort, Ordered Large Cranberry Juice, Hash and Eggs Over Easy, Home Fries, English and a Side of Sausage.Fast Freindly Service, Great Portions, Cooked Perfectly. On Site Parking, Get Here Early, Small Place Inside.”
“this is one of my favorite deli sandwich shops I will go out of my way if im within a couple hours, foods top notch staffs amazing, some of the best flavor combos ever.never left unsatisfied and it's been 10 years I've been ”
“This is a great restaurant and I enjoy going. I've never been disappointed. They have rotating drink and food specials to keep things new and their existing menu is fantastic.”
“First time I was there. Coffee was great. Perfect place to visit with adapted sister. We had not seen each other in 18 months. Will go again. Wayfarer, well done.”
“I don‘t think I ever had such good scrambled eggs (I had the Breakfast Scrambler)! I enjoyed every single bite, it was just delicious! I just want to go back there and try all their amazing food but I was just driving through, so I have to save it for another time. I‘ll definitely come back next time I‘m in the area!”
“Amazing beer selection. Cozy indoor and outdoor seating options. They allow you to bring your own snacks, for example the smoked nuts or beef jerky from the Fox Country Smoke House in Canterbury.”
“We stopped in at The Eggshell Restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is set for “Seat Yourself” casual dining. I must say, they make a great pot of coffee and all of the food was delicious and generously portioned. We enjoyed eggs served with bacon, sausage, Texas toast and perfect homemade home fries. A side of corned beef hash and a tall glass of OJ rounded off a great meal. Our Server, Kelsey, was very pleasant and attentive; and we appreciated that the food was served promptly. Gabby, another Server was also helpful.Well, would we recommend this restaurant? The answer is… Yes, absolutely! We plan to return for some more good eating! Also, reasonable prices. *Restaurant closes at 2 pm.”
“The place itself is nothing special to look at but the food is pretty satisfying. The portions are grand, definitely splittable. We prefer the bar, so we sat in the back and had a very delightful service experience with Samantha. We will be returning to try other dishes in the future.”
“The food here was way beyond my expectations. I tried the pickle soup and it was fantastic. The wraps are delicious. My 4 year old who doesn't like anything different and refused to order anything saw my food and ate all the chicken out of half my wrap, so it's safe to say she liked it. I can't wait to go back and try different things. Everything is so fresh and you can really taste it. Even their drinks are delicious. An added plus is how friendly everyone is who works here. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't be disappointed when you do!”
“Great place to meet new friends. The waitress was super nice and told us all about the time she made biscuits and gravy and her amazing talent of baking ? cakes. The Meatloaf omelet was different the Chipotle sauce on the side is a nice touch. Biscuits and Gravy are fantastic ? nice flavor and a little kick of ? not much just enough. I love the union dinner can't wait to go back...”
“Off the beaten path you will find this charming smokehouse operation. Plenty of free parking and a porta potty for restroom. We enjoyed the smoked cheeses and meats and other charming knick-knacks and treats. Proprietors are very friendly and willing to answer all your questions. I will be back.”
“I love pizza express after the new ownership! They are super pleasant to talk to every time I come in and the pizzas are always affordable and tasty! Give their new margherita pizza a try, soo good :)”
“Very creative ice cream flavors! Ice cream is clearly homemade and of a higher quality than most. Tried the raspberry blonde ice cream and it was amazing. White chocolate ice cream base with raspberry swirl and chunk of blondie. I will be craving this now. We also go a few cookies to go.Service was quick and very friendly. The location is cool in a new building in Lakeport. We were the only ones there so we sat at the little bar (the only seating). In the summer it’ll be nice to grab some and walk across the street to the park on the lake.”
“Love this place. Food comes out quick. Pricing is fair and there is always a variety of specials to choose from. Absolutely love their home fries. The waitresses are very accommodating.”
“Over the Moon Farmstead is a great spot for drinks and food. The pizzas in particular are amazing with many delicious flavor combinations. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming with some spectacular views… Great to visit any time of year!”
“We tried the Frenchie burger, chicken fingers & parmesan truffle fries. The burger was amazing! The burger was cooked exactly as we asked, medium-rare; the onions were cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious & the gruyere cheese was melted & lovely. The parmesan truffle fries were good, not overwhelmed with truffle oil, or completely covered in parmesan. The fries themselves were good, although they could have been cooked a bit longer; but that's to our taste. The only disappointment was the chicken fingers; they were standard issue food service frozen breaded chicken strips. However, the honey mustard dressing was excellent.Overall, it was a good meal, and we look forward to returning again to try the other offerings on the menu.Parking: There's parking; but if you come at a high traffic time of the day, especially lunch, parking is tight.Wheelchair accessibility: Not ADA compliant, VERY old building.”
“Top dog in Sushiverse! This place is an asset to Laconia. Good food, caring owner. The theater really screws this guy on parking, so take some cones home for the kids.”
“First off I love D'angelo's sandwiches and have been coming to this one in Laconia for years. I ordered 2 medium size pockets. Thank God they finally got acceptable pockets after a long stretch of not having any pockets at all. The first was a pastrami which was great. The second was their new Ballpark sandwich which is sausage, peppers and onions. It was OK. The peppers were sliced a little smaller than I would recommend. The biggest problem was that the pocket it was in was old. It "cracked" and wasn't flexible as their pockets are when fresh. Maybe if it were more fresh, I would have enjoyed the Ballpark better. I'm not sure I want to risk getting it again.”
“Finally made it to this staple in Belmont. I was told by friends to try it for a while not but for some reason I just didn't. I should have listened! As always the big tests for Mexican restaurants for me is the chips and salsa and the margaritas. This place doesn't disappoint on either. The chips are hot and crispy and the salsa has just the right amount of hear to make it craveable. I have been there twice now, once with the grandson and once alone. When I brought the boy he loved the queso dip. Said it was ooey and gooey and delicious. I got some gringo tacos and they came out piping hot and flavorful beyond words. The margaritas are fantastic. The bartenders are attentive, funny and know their trade.”
“These cupcakes and cookies were a hit at my sister’s baby shower/gender reveal. The parents-to-be and the other guests all gave high praise for these desserts. I cannot recommend Laconia Village Bakery enough!”
“Was an amazing dinner that Chef Deegan cooked for us! Wonderful table, great service. Steady FL w of customers, love the open kitchen and the small town charm!!Definitely will be back, and highly recommend!!”
“Samantha M. Is a great waitress. My fiance and I came in and she was more than helpful. It's classic American food. Drinks are a little pricey but the food, service and atmosphere are pretty good.”
“Very nice ice cream stand! The prices are very fair and the portion size is excellent!!! You definitely get your money's worth here!! The ice cream is very delicious and the hot fudge brownie is excellent. I was extremely impressed with this small stand. I highly recommend this location and I will be returning when in the area again!”
“I sent my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is fantastic and the team is efficient and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we have a lovely evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.”
“i went for an AA meeting but learned about this place by reading info on their website. they do a ton of great work with the homeless community, meals, showers, clothing, places to sleep. these are good people who practice what they preach, which seems to be increasingly more rare in this world.kudos to them.highly recommended.”
“We only have 1 member of our family who is gluten intolerant but I no longer make gluten items and just buy something for him. At our family gatherings/holiday parties, we ALL enjoy the delicious gluten free treats from GFDB. We have not been disappointed in any item we've tried and people are still raving about them from this most recent holiday season. They are available at multiple places (stores, farmers markets) as well as directly from their home. You will receive a warm greeting and quick delivery of your order without ever having to step out of your car! If you have any "yuck, gluten free" people in your life, slip them some GFDB treats and they will never know!”

“Spent a snowy Sunday afternoon at the Gilmanton Winery for a wine tasting. This place is very quaint. We each tasted 6 of their wines. They have wines from very dry to very sweet. We also ordered a lovely charcuterie board. The service was excellent, the wines were tasty and the atmosphere was cozy. We left with a bottle as well. If you're feeling a little cooped up, head over and relax for a bit!”
