Jewel of India Reviews
It's rare that I will leave a negative review and I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I will start by saying I've ordered take out here and it was pretty decent, but tonight, my date and I decided we would prefer to dine in. What an absolute 💩 show. Jewel of India in Hanover, NH, is a well-loved restaurant known for its delicious and reasonably priced Indian cuisine. Visitors appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with the clean and organized setting. The staff is friendly, skilled, and attentive, ensuring quick service and thoughtful touches like extra rice with takeout orders.
The restaurant offers a variety of flavorful dishes. The chicken tikka masala is highly recommended, praised for its tender chicken and rich, well-balanced sauce. The garlic naan and naans in general are considered good, with the garlic naan being particularly well seasoned. The curries, especially the rogan josh lamb, are favorites among regulars. Vegetarians enjoy dishes like aloo and chana, which are consistently fantastic. The appetizers, including fried vegetables and the great samosas, are popular, especially with the addition of mini samosas for snacks on the go.
However, some reviews mention that their Biryani is not authentic, and it has disappointed some guests. Instead, they suggest trying the chicken tikka muglai, which tastes more like butter chicken. The tamarin sauce and well-seasoned rice are also highlights. Overall, Jewel of India remains a favorite spot for flavorful Indian dishes and friendly service, with many guests returning for the quality and consistency.
