Glad we discovered this place being that we are from out of town! Great view of Squam Lake. Brussel sprouts were awesome and the spicy jerk shrimp pasta was a spicy delight. I would certainly recommend Walter's Basin and will be back when we are in the area.

Our party of 4 adults & 3kids was greeted pleasantly by the hostess who was able to seat us within 10 minutes despite not having reservations on a busy, beautiful late Saturday afternoon. We all ordered different meals and each one was wonderful. Our waitress, Devon, was awesome. Very efficient, friendly and not intrusive but there if we needed anything . Our young grandkids were treated wonderfully by all the staff we encountered. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and did not know what to expect as we are not from the area and it was our first time here. We will definitely return when visiting this area again.

Phenomenal location with great views of the lake! We wanted to love this place, but the food was bland. I opted for the schnitzel, while my husband ordered the lobster mac and cheese. The sauce was good, but the lobster was not fresh—it was just okay. The schnitzel was huge but also average. The server seemed overwhelmed; she mentioned she would bring us bread but forgot. However, given the views, we would be willing to give this place another try—it could have just been an off night.
Also, if you're in town with friends and family, this place is great for large groups!

Beautiful location, right on the road and lake view. Food was good, not 5 stars good but good, food came quick but yet it was cold, I was confused by that. Server was sweet, the martinis are strong. I might give it another try.
