My siblings and I have been to Walter's Basin for lunch twice in the last 2 months. We all loved it. The food was great and our server was outstanding. I wish I could remember her name - Allie?? She was so pleasant and friendly. She made our time there so enjoyable.

We stopped in to this establishment and we're treated like kings! The atmosphere, the people, it made my day!
Cora the bartender was impeccable, and the hug from Gail at the front was the icing on the top! What a delight!

Glad we discovered this place being that we are from out of town! Great view of Squam Lake. Brussel sprouts were awesome and the spicy jerk shrimp pasta was a spicy delight. I would certainly recommend Walter's Basin and will be back when we are in the area.

Food was good but nothing special. Waiter dropped a full glass of beer down my friends back. Views are spectacular!

The Water Basin was chosen as a family meeting spot for our trip on a whim. The staff is nice, and professional. The food was so good we stayed for dessert, which is rare for us. The view is great. We had a 2 hour conversation, we people coming and going. It was a very good chose. The other family members greatly enjoyed it as well.
Great bar. Watched food come out.. Dishes were colorful very fresh looking.. will be back for Dinner. Staff was fantastic. Views perfect.
The prices are measurably higher than comparable’s in a 20 mi. radius, and at best the food is decent/mediocre. The staff, even with high turn-over, is always pleasant, but as a ‘good bang for the buck’, not the case.
We came as a family with our almost 4 year old after a long morning at the science center. We were seated right away with a gorgeous view in the water through giant windows. The staff were very attentive and kind. We all enjoyed our food and service was relatively fast. To note, the kids Mac and cheese is not Kraft (a positive for us) and is quite large (and delicious). I enjoyed the fish tacos and my husband got a tuna sandwich that he raved about. We would definitely recommend!

We came for the first time on a Saturday evening in late August. The restaurant is right on Squam Lake with great views. We decided to eat in the bar because we didn’t want to wait 20 minutes for a table. We ordered the haddock bites appetizer on special. It was delicious, flaky, slightly spicy with a creamy aioli. Entrees were a pork schnitzel, and the lamb, both were perfect. The server was attentive and personable. Drinks were average. I’ll definitely go back, later in the evening, hopefully avoiding the children in the bar.
Always excellent food and great service with fantastic views!
Put this one on your bucket list of must tries: dinner was excellent. Starting with exceptional service. Salad with house dressing was delicious. Jamaican jerk pasta and shrimp is fantastic!! Definitely a place I will always come back to when I visit. The restaurant is clean and well cared for.
BLUF: Great tastes, service with a smile, relaxing lake views. The Good: Situated on Little Squalm Lake, we stopped by for a bite on our way to a summer vacation and had to stop again because the food and service was that good. The staff were very enthusiastic, service oriented, polite and charming. The menu has something for everyone and it is well prepared. One treat we really liked were the “buffalo wing style” cauliflower bites. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend the Snow Balls, which are two scoops of ice cream covered in toasted coconut flakes and toasted almonds on a bed of chocolate ganache. The view of the lake was relaxing. They also had bar service at the dock. The Bad: Just the parking. You may have to take some laps to find a place to park. The Ugly: Nothing. I highly recommend this place. Enjoy!
Loved our lunch. Sophia was a very nice and personable server. Great view of the lake. Dessert was very good. I had the snowball ice cream. Yum
