“You don't have to be vegan to like this restaurant. The food is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I try to get there at least once a week to get takeout for my wife and me. But they have a lot of fun items, so sometimes I get food for more than one day. I really like their Cuban sandwich, so I get that a lot. But I've tried a number of their other options and they're also quite good. There's usually a weekly special that's fun. And, though I can't eat sugar myself, I have it on good authority that the whoopie pies are excellent. While full-time veganism can be a lot of work and some people think of it as a form of deprivation, part-time veganism still reduces the world's stress on animal products, is climate-friendly, and has a lot of health benefits. So don't feel like you have to subscribe to a religion to enjoy yourself. For example, I try to keep my cholesterol down, and vegan food automatically checks that list. No cholesterol in anything. So when they have something that is cheeseburger-like, it obviously isn't going to be made of actual beef and cheese. Still, I find it "good enough" taste-wise and I like not having to feel guilty that I'm off diet when I'm enjoying my food. An underappreciated aspect of such a restaurant is that its know their ingredients and don't think it's at all odd for you to ask about them. So if you've got food sensitivities of any kind and tire of feeling like a burden for asking, just that part alone may help you feel relaxed and among your own. This restaurant is tucked inside the Toadstool Bookstore, a local indie bookstore, so that's fun too. Browse some physical books while you're there. Yeah, that's still a thing.“

“Great quality food with all the Flavor! I had the Street Fries with Chorizo and the Buffalo Chicken Tacos and was surprised to discover that I may have eaten with my eyes. The Fries alone were so flavorful that I almost didn't have room for the tacos....almost. I also ate my food so fast I didn't have time to take any pics, but take my word for it...everything was of picture quality when served. The hours that they are stationed on Emerald St (Thur/Fri 11-3) will make it impossible for me to visit again during my travels but I hope to eat the food again in the future.“

“We've been enjoying Rick's for many years. Love that they're open all year and are open until 9pm. A lot of ice cream places in New England are only open for warm months. Seriously, we came after an ice storm and they were open normal hours. And they were super nice as usual! It's really great that they offer dairy-free soft serve and even a sugar free ice cream option!Vegetarian options: Vegan almond milk soft serve, multiple flavors, vegan toppingsDietary restrictions: Vegan dairy-free soft serve, sugar free ice cream“

“Granita Enoteca remains one of our favorite restaurants in the Keene area. The quality, service and atmosphere are consistently outstanding, making the restaurant a "go-to" choice whenever we have friends in town that we want to impress. Frankly, there's no better restaurant for miles around.“

“My husband and I stopped by Saturday afternoon. The place was busy, but we sat right away. The waitress was wonderful, and we had a nice selection of food and drinks to choose from. Service was quick and we ordered the daily special (Burger with Sweet Potato fries). I rarely eat burgers, but this one was outstanding!!! There was lots of flavor, and the portions were generous. We will be returning for sure.“
