DOX on Winnipesaukee Reviews
We had dinner 5/17/26, awful. ordered a tap beer, sent it back because it was warm - still got charged for it. Lobster roll was soggy, waitress said it comes with chips, coleslaw or fries, neglected to mention fries cost extra. My wife ordered the sausage sandwich, so salty that she couldn't eat it, full charge. I asked two waitresses for salt for my fries, never came. Awful.
Terrible
It all started when we walked in. We could see one table eating and a bunch of employees walking around looking busy. It was honestly dead but it took 10 minutes to get a seat. The guy behind the bar made eye contact multiple times but did anything he possibly could to avoid seating us but finally he had no choice and seated us with an attitude.
My wife ordered scallops appetizer and no one told us until after the food came out that they were out of tartar...read full review
Not what it used to be! A 17 year old girl sat us in the worst spot inside, in front of some 1 man band. We went there to be on the dock, not cramped in this overpriced yuppie restaurant. They really just ruined one of the better spots on Weirs Beach

The Winnipesaukee restaurant offers a decent atmosphere with live music, though the experience can be mixed. The restaurant is located on the lake, and most of the staff are friendly. However, the drinks are overpriced, and the food is mediocre, with small portion sizes. The loaded tots appetizer, for instance, costs $17 for less than 20 tots and a small amount of pulled pork. The restaurant seems to have a "lake upcharge" on its offerings. While it may be suitable for a post-boat beer and appetizer, it is not recommended for a full meal. The restaurant could improve by providing more shade options, especially for families with young children, and offering more house-made dipping sauces, such as ranch, for its fried chicken.
Customers have had a varied experience at the Winnipesaukee restaurant. Some have praised the amazing views, friendly service, and excellent food, including the hot chicken sandwich and hangover burger. Others have found the experience to be just "okay," with slow service, loud live music that detracted from the dinner experience, and mediocre food in terms of portions, presentation, and flavors. Overall, the restaurant seems to provide a decent option for a post-boat beer and appetizer, but may not be the best choice for a full meal.
