“We got a steak and cheese, wings, and the 10pc chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The sub was great, perfect balance of sandwich steak and cheese. The wings were great good too, lots of flavor throughout every piece. The larger pieces of chicken were very good but I imagine it would have been better dining in and having it nice and crispy.The only bad part of the meal were the mashed potatoes....dear lord those were awful. They come in a styrofoam cup with a little brown goop on them and are about a solid as concrete that had been curing up for about 6 hours. I don't know if it's the instant potatoes they use or if flavor from the styrofoam cups leached into the potatoes but there was a hint of burnt tire flavor in there. I'm not a mashed potato purist who thinks that instant automatically tastes bad either. These were just from the depths of the chow line at hell. “I don’t live in New Hampshire but I visit a couple times a year and ran into this place in 2017. Now I always detour to Nadeau’s because their steak and cheese is so good. I just tried it with the chipotle mayo this time and it was so good. If you ever decide to open a location in Las Vegas NV please message me because I will be your #1 customer. “Note - I went to the express in Derry not the full shop This is a more grab and go type place but the food is fresh and very vegan friendly. The vegan whoopie pies were a nice touch. I had the Troy's burrito with the plant based chicken and it was very filling and very flavorful. It's not a sit down restaurant. Go in with takeout expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised. “Troy’s is a nice, clean dining option in an area that doesn’t have a whole lot of clean-eating types of restaurants. The staff is always very polite and attentive, the sweets are tasty but not too greasy/oily, and the smoothies, overall, are great and full of whole ingredients.Where I think Troy’s could improve:The Derry location doesn’t have price transparency. You have to ask how much different things cost, which is a bit silly in 2024.On a couple of occasions I have gotten fairly large/hard chunks of what I think are peanut shells in my smoothie. This may be part of the price of consuming raw ingredients, but I wanted to warn others as some of the pieces have been very hard and are likely capable of cracking a tooth.The burrito (which I had at the Londonderry location) can be a little too sloppy/messy. If you’re like me and you don’t like burritos drenched in sauces because you think it kind of ruins the flavor (and structure) of the burrito, make sure to order with light/no aioli, guac, and coconut cheddar.“
“Can't remember servers name unfortunately as it's been a week since being there. But the gentleman took care of our entire group of over 15 people in the middle of multiple rounds of Cornhole and no one had to wait for drinks or food cause he was on his A game. Drinks and food were a slightly pricey but due to playing Cornhole and the quality of drinks and food, very much worth the price of admission.“
