Bruster's Real Ice Cream

Dawn and her staff are always friendly, warm and welcoming with a smile on their face. They keep the atmosphere relaxed and un-rushed, patiently explaining the flavors, offering samples, and helping with choices. I've had ice-cream at many of New England's finest, and Bruster's is my all-time favorite. Their ice-cream is super creamy, bursting with flavor, and so true to the flavors in their ice-cream names.

Good ice cream and they let me try a sample of a flavor so I could be better informed going to my purchase.

I feel this their ice cream might be better than Haywards imo lol. Just tried for the first time 2 different kinda and their waffle cone which is really good too!

This is the best ice cream around. The service is always fantastic and the flavors are wonderful. Good rewards program. I'm always a happy customer. If they had the cookie jar crunch flavor more often, I would be even happier.

Place was clean and nice inside. Amelia and Angeline were very inviting and friendly even though they were closing in 5 minutes. They offered great suggestions and let us sample before we picked. They invited us to BYOB. Bring your own banana on Thursday. This place has 3% off if you pay in cash. We will be back thank you girls. You made it a great 1st time experience.

Oh yeah the waffle cones and ice cream are amazing. We can't wait to try more.

They don’t mix the shake properly. They do it like it’s a frosty at Wendy’s. The straws are so thin you can’t get any ice cream. Need thicker straws.

Response: Yes the give you the long handled straws, but they break easy and they don’t suck up the ice cream… reason for my frost comment… only way you can eat is with that little spoon… it’s hardly mixed. Also I don’t ask for extra thick, because I know if I did it wouldn’t be a shake at all.

Ice cream is very soft, too soft, for some reason, how can they adequately pack a pint if it's so soft. Also mint chocolate chip is green, so artificial color. If they use low quality in that, they probably use other low quality ingredients. Also leaves bad taste in mouth. $8 for a pint?

Ordered Chocolate Chip and after one bit asked for my money back. It had a weird consistency and a horrible texture. Not creamy at all. Almost seems to have been melted and refrozen. Very sad how far Brusters has fallen. NEVER GOING

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, Brusters I’m sorry, but I’m not sure if it’s just the Amherst area. EVERY TIME I go the ice cream is milky and tastes rotten, and it’s not just one flavor . It’s every single flavor that has this same rotten lingering taste. I thought it was just me at first but my boyfriend also stated how it tasted funny and after a few questionable sips we had to throw away our ice cream. I’m not sure if you need to change the recipe or just the freshness of the ice cream all together . But the ice cream does indeed taste and smell like throw up … on a positive note your staff and values for customer service have always been kind and welcoming.

Ice cream is good. Bought an ice cream cake for my kids birthday. The ice cream part of the cake was great, but the cake part tasted dry and old. Also they didn’t sell candles which is an oversight.

I would say there was no sugar found in the ice cream. The only positive thing is that the portions are huge. (I would say no ice cream is found in the sugar. The big plus is the huge portions)
Answer for owner: it's a play on words. It means this ice cream was fantastic sweet. I've ordered white raspberry truffle with strawberry sorbet, but for me it was ice cream with sugar flavor.
