We discovered the Rambling House just this year and love it! We have been a party of 4 every time and have never had to make a reservation. Because this time, I knew we would have a baby carrier, I called at 2 pm to see if they took reservations. I was told no reservations available but for a party of 4 plus a baby carrier, the manager suggested that coming in at around 7/715 would be advisable, not earlier. We arrived at 7 and while there were tons of open tables, we were...read full review
Was there October 4th with 11 people with reservations and I guess you can’t accommodate that many as our tables were completely separate… sadly the service was dreadfully slow 20 minutes for water and when we ordered that was prompt however out of the 11 dishes we got 10 and another 20 minutes for a bowl of chili … desert was one order that took 15 minutes … your place is a nice spot and the food is good it’s just the flow from back of the house to the front was lacking.
Great expanse at the Rambling house! Food and drinks, were great. We were able to spend a beautiful afternoon on the outside terrace overlooking the river. Our waiter Andrew was great always very attentive, polite. Andrew spent some time with us talking about the origins of the restaurant, wonderful September afternoon. Thank you, Andrew.

Rambling House Food & Gathering offers a cozy atmosphere with a perfect location and view. The attentive waitstaff provides great service and recommendations. The menu features tasty dishes like the potatoe/leek tart, roast chicken, and salmon, though the salmon was slightly overcooked. The restaurant runs a rotating menu, and chef specials are highly recommended. The establishment has multiple levels, including a Tale Spinner brewery downstairs with beer and a limited menu, and a roof deck for BBQ. Full food service and a bar are available on levels 1 and 2. Beyond the menu, cocktails and mocktails are worth trying. The food is fresh, with dishes like short ribs, which are moist and pair well with coconut rice and greens, and the Beer Battered Haddock, which is locally caught, crispy, and thicker than average. The bread served is warm, homemade, with a crispy crust, and pairs perfectly with honey butter. The inside is beautiful and cozy, a real gem in Nashua. Overall, Rambling House offers a pleasant dining experience with excellent service and a variety of options to enjoy.
