“We continue to go often. The food and staff are great. This is not a fancy date night place, but it checks off the boxes when it comes to good home style food. They should bottle and sell their marinara, we love it. We are very fond of their pizza. Extra cheese and mushroom is the current favorite.“

“Best pizza ever! Crust is airy n melts in yer mouth! They don't shy on the toppings! If u can find someone who puts more toppings on there pizza I would challenge u! My favorite pizza Pete makes is pepperoni pineapple and bacon on the top so it's crispy! N u never gotta order extra cheese cause Pete don't skimp on the cheese! This pizza is a little pricey but well worth it for the real cheese not the fake oily shit and I only gotta eat two pieces and I'm stuffed so one pizza can feed my family everywhere else gotta get two because there's no toppings!“

“Tavern 27 is such a cosy, inviting tapas spot the Lakes Region and the community is fortunate to be invited back inside following the pandemic and Ray and Leslie’s other life adventures. We recently held an intimate employee appreciation event there, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. The atmosphere was perfect, Leslie curated an excellent menu of from scratch bites, and some members of our team had never been there before but I suspect are already making plans for their next visit. You have to be super patient and not in a rush because Leslie prepares every dish made to order, and they’re also rebuilding staff so things will take time, but if you’re seeking a memorable evening out, and are looking for a rustic casual destination, please go visit them. “First of all, I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Yesterday (St. Patty's day) I was up shxt creek without a paddle. I was completely out of gas and had lost my card to an ATM in Portsmouth. I was coming back home from VT with my 4 yr old and had 60+ more miles to go to get home with no money whatsoever. I went in and explained my pickle to the man behind the counter, and I asked about trading my license for $20. He agreed without hardly any hesitation!! And I got to keep my lisence. He even gave my toddler a lollipop! I left him with my name and number. Problem is, I never got his name. I plan on sending him his money back, but need his name, please. Or have him text me at that number I gave him.
I would have been sooo screwed yesterday if he hadn't loaned me that gas. I was hours away from anyone that could have helped me. I NEED to pay him back 🙏 🙌“

“I just came in to get two salads for me and my girlfriend, OMFG BEST SALADS I HAVE EVER HAD! We got chicken finger salads and I can not explain how fresh and cold and lettuce was and how flavorful the chicken was. They were so busy, yet they got the food out on time and it was SO SCRUMPTIOUS. 10/10 recommended to get a salad here. Employees were so nice as well! I’m going back tomorrow!“

“We took a large group (about 22 kids and 25 adults) in for a hockey tournament team dinner over the weekend. Everyone was so helpful. I spoke directly with the owner leading up to the event and he was diligent about keeping in touch with be before, during, and after to ensure a smooth evening. The food is incredible and the atmosphere and staff just added to the experience. I love that the Grotto is super family friendly giving both kids and adults a great experience. The entire team absolutely loved hanging out here. The parents were particularly impressed with the homemade pasta options, variety of adult beverages, and the ability for the kids to have some fun in the Dungeon. The live music was also great! We are already looking forward to the next time we can bring the crew in! Thank you to all of you for making us feel welcome and allowing the kids to be kids. We will definitely recommend the Grotto any chance we get.“
