We came to the Wild Rose to celebrate our anniversary and we were very very pleasantly surprised. The ambience is lovely. You pass through the beautiful Old Manor House and enter the lovely bright dining room overlooking the lush green backyard. The waitress was absolutely delightful – friendly knowledgeable, and helpful. My husband had delicious salmon and I enjoyed their special of two appetizers and a house salad for $38. Delicious!! Met another couple there who was celebrating their first anniversary and they had been married at Stonehurst Manor a year ago!! Everything and everyone including the food was delightful! I encourage you to go!!!!
They’re NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a step to get in. Made a reservation and drove there just to turn around

We made reservations here after we took the Conway Scenic Railway. We had a fantastic dinner. The hotel is charming and if we didn't always stay in Lincoln, I would be tempted to stay here. For dinner, we had clam chowder and crab cakes, I had a steak special that was fabulous, and my husband had chicken, which he never orders out. We were so stuffed that we couldn't eat desert. It was a lovely evening. Our server was great.

We made reservations with the hope of having a wonderful and romantic dinner. It was everything we were looking for. We were spending the the weekend in the mountains and we're so looking forward to fine dinning before heading home. Now comes the bad, the restaurant was charming, The service was unacceptable, we ordered drinks with the hope of enjoying time before we ordered. They never Came, then came the excuses . We ordered dinner I hade there ultimate Prime Rib dinner, I've had better at Meza luna. No flavor served with Cold carrots. My Girlfriend ordered the lamd chops. She liked it but same resultswith the carrots?. When your server comes to the table and says how was everything they look surprised by your answer. She seemed to want us to rush out , cause are dinner was there faster than our drinks. That never came. I don't know what has happened to customer service, when excuses out weight everything , theRestaurant is charming, But the food and service need alot of work. We will return to the White Mountains, but not to this place maybe try the Red Fox

Wild Rose at Stonehurst Manor
We stopped by Stonehurst Manor during the day just to check out the grounds, even though the Wild Rose Restaurant was closed. The staff, especially Olivia, was incredibly helpful, giving us a warm welcome and encouraging us to come back for dinner. She even made a reservation for us on the spot, which was a great touch of hospitality.
We arrived an hour before our reservation to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting and enjoy the sitting area inside. The grounds are stunning, with a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. We were thoroughly impressed with the level of attention and service from every staff member we interacted with. From the moment we arrived to the end of our visit, the experience was top-notch.
Would highly recommend stopping in not just for the food, but to enjoy the grounds and the impeccable service.

My overall experience was fine. The seafood dishes were good. The duck entree and ice cream were great. But I’ve tasted better and was hoping for an experience like the two great restaurants nearby (not knowing ahead of time that they are in a different level).

Went to the restaurant lastnight and was very disappointed. Have been there on numerous occasions and it's always been a pleasure, except for lastnight. I went there with my daughter and 2 granddaughter for a memorable experience. It was early, not busy at that time. The hostess was very nice and a pleasure. Thank you. The younger waitress, on the other hand , ignored us, and seemed to just go through the motions of trying to be there when she did tend to us. Simply put, she sucked. We watched the other waitstaff and they seemed to be doing their jobs and were quite attentive. Too bad we got that one.

Much improved under new ownership. Food is wonderful and service is attentive and courteous. My.main course could have been a bit hotter but it was very good. New England Clam Chowder is awesome.

I only stopping for a cocktail, but was instantly impressed with the setting. Dark leather chairs, old books, dim lighting. I felt like I was in a Victorian parlor. Service was a little slow, but we’ll worth the wait for phenomenal cocktails.

The food here is probably the best food I've had in all of New England. I had the north atlantic salmon with a side of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. My girlfriend had the prime rib with au jus, mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. The prime rib was slow cooked to absolute perfection and the au jus was the perfect addition with no need to add any salt, pepper or any other seasoning. My salmon was unbelievable and topped off with garlic butter that was leaving me wanting more. For breakfast my girlfriend had the omelette and I had the eggs Benedict that was to die for. The hollandaise sauce had the perfect hint of lemon that wasn't too overpowering. The eggs were perfectly runny and not over cooked. The veggies, omelette and home fries were the best my girlfriend and I ever had. The chefs here should be very proud of themselves. These dishes were works of art. The food and the view of the mountain range made a lasting impression. Wild Rose is about 2 1/2 hours from home but we will most definitely be returning!

Had an excellent anniversary dinner with my wife here. I tried the Wild Rose and it was one of most delightful dishes I’ve had in my life. The seafood was cooked to perfection, the sauce was rich and flavorful and butternut pasta was the best pasta I’ve ever had. Definitely don’t pass up on trying this place.

This is our third visit and it remains an absolute favorite! There are not enough stars for the food. In fact all the five stars that have food included in the review! The management and staff are great and the bartender in the martini lounge makes some killer martinis! Kathy is one of our favorites and she wears many hats!
Parking: There's a lot. Still.
